After class, the fifth-grade students will be able to identify movie themes and genres with at least 85%
accuracy. Additionally, they will use the like/dislike structure and list the movie genres and themes that they
like and dislike.

Summary
Students will recognize movie genres and topics through matching, fill-in-the-blank, and writing tasks. They will
also create sentences about the linked topic using like/dislike sentence patterns.
Measurement & Evaluation
Students will show what they have learned in the class by participating in a speaking exercise that involves
questions and answers.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
During the second week, students will learn about different movie genres and themes, and use a likes/dislikes
structure to express their personal preferences. They will also receive a grammar lesson on this topic. To
practice their understanding, they will complete activities such as matching genres, filling in blanks about
themes, and writing about their likes and dislikes. The lesson will conclude with a speaking activity to showcase
their knowledge. As a backup plan, if attendance or student motivation is low, the lesson will take a short
break for a small discussion. If there are technological issues, the teacher will continue the lesson using
hardcopies.
