III. PROCEDURES

A. Preliminary Activities
1. Review
Ask the class a little background about Home Economics.
What do you expect to learn from this component?
2. Drill
Arrange the jumbled letters.

Ask the class about the duties and responsibilities of each family member.

Non-human resources- are tangible family resources that are available for usage

B. Development of the lesson


1. Motivation
Ask: What do we need in order to live?
What is family resources?
C. Presentation
Show pictures of the different resources that we need as human.

Mention to the class that these are what we call family resources.
1. Discussion:
Discuss the different family resources and its classification.
Family resources are human and non-human qualities or elements that are used to meet the
needs and wants of each family remembers.
CLASSIFICATION OF FAMILY RESOURCES
1. Human Resources – skills, attitude, knowledge, time, energy, education, among others
2. Non-Human or Material Resources - money, salary, goods, car, household
equipment, food and the like
2. Activities:
A. Activity 1
Group the class into four. Each group will have meta-cards of the different resources. Have
them classify each according to human resources or non-human resources.
B. Activity 2
Tell the class to write down 5 examples of resources for each classification in five minutes.
Then have them exchange paper with their seatmates.
3. .Abstraction/Application:
Do we need to use these resources wisely? Why?
Emphasize to the class that family resources should be managed properly.
D. Generalization:
What is family resources?
What are the two classification of family resources?

IV. ASSESSMENT
Identify whether the following resources are human resources or non-human resources.
Write your answers in a ¼ sheet of paper.
