Chapter 1 Introduction

This manual can help you quickly understand our products. When you have problems in installation, you can
look up to this manual. This manual includes the following:
How to correctly operate the printer?
The detailed instructions on control software .
The detailed instructions on Main Top.
The daily maintenance of the printer.
In order to safely and correctly use the printer, the printer has passed setrict inspection before leaving
factory. We have labelled relevant remarks on the machine. Please read the manual before operating
machine.
①……Warining: This means potential danger. If it can be avoided, it can cause damage of different
degrees or data loss.
②……Attention: This means an command which should be abide by so as to reduce print problem.
③……Indication: This means useful information to printer.
1.1 Safety of Power Source
Attention: Please correctly link ground wire for the safety of people and machine. This printer should be
installed by qualified technician.
A、Power Supply: One way AC 50Hz 220V (±10%) 2200W(Maxi) 100W(Printing)
B、According to different countries and regions, it may use 110V or 220V AC Power.
C、Connect the equipment to a proper grounded socket. Please avoid the socket being put in the same circuit
with these equipments which are frequently changed between On and Off (such as air-conditioning 、
copymachine).
D、Avoid using wall-board switch or automatic time-setting socket
E、 Put the computer system far away from the source of electromagnetic, such as loudspeaker、cordless
telephone set.
F、Do not use power wire which has been destoryed.
G、If additional power wires are used, please keep in mind that the total ampere rating of the equipment which
has been inserted the additional wire can’t surpass its specify ampere rating. Besides, the total ampere
rating of all the equipments which use the wall board socket can’t surpass the specify ampere rating of the
wall board socket.
H 、 Do not try to repair the printer by yourself. Please turn to technicians as soon as possible when the
machine have problems.
1.2 Cautions for Operation of Printer
A、Please always use power switch to close the printer. Before power supply being cut off, please do not pull
out the power plug or other relevant data link.
B、Please do not put the tools or other things on the machine’s printing platform or cover plate so as to avoid
damage caused by not cleaning up in time before functioning.
C、Please make sure that the print carriage has been fixed in the initial position before moving the printer.
1.3 Cautions for Installment and Working Environment
A、Please put the printer in stable and horizontal place. If the printer is tilted or has certain angle, it may can’t
function normally.
B、Please set aside enough room around the printer so that it ventilates normally.
C、Please put the printer near the wall socket so that it is easy to put in and pull out plug.
D、Please avoid using printer in place where the humidity and temperature are easy to change dramatically.
Please avoid the direct sunshine、strong light and heat source.
E 、Working Environment: temperature: 18℃-29℃, humidity:50%-80%.In order to put the machine into the
best condition, please equip the room with air-conditioning、thermometer and hygrometer.
F、The printer must be far away from strong interference radiation source.
H、We recommend to equip the machine with UPS and power stabilizer(>3000W).
1.4 Cautions for using and position of Ink
A、Please put the ink out of the reach of children. Do not let children drink ink or touch cartridge.
B、If ink splashes into skin, please use soap and water to wash. If ink splases into eyes, please use clean
water to wash at once.
C、Do not shake ink bottle in order to avoid ink leakage.
D、When ink bottle has been used after a certain time(usually two months), it must be completely cleaned up
and dryed by airing. Please pay attention to cleanliness when use new ink bottle in order to ensure print
quality.
E、Ink should be stored in shady and cool place and avoid direct sunshine.

2.3 Installation of Equipment
First
First: Open the wooden case. Remove the foam package and dust cover. Release the binding strips of
accessories. Take out the packing list and check the contents.
Second: Installation brackets
Take out the right and left brackets and place them on the ground steady .Fix the upper and lower beams
between the right and left brackets with bolts. The installation is as the picture.
Note: The upper beam should be installed on the rear side, the lower beam should be installed on the front
side.

Third: Installation of Main machine
Lift the main machine with forklift , place it on the brackets in the right direction. Fix it on both sides of it by the
bolts. As shown in the installation picture.

Fourth: Installation of feeding system and take up system
① Open the package of feeding system,install the feeding system on the upper beam and lower beam
seperately, shown as the picture:

Fifth: Installation of wast ink box
Fix the tray of waste ink box on the right bracket with bolts, place the waste ink box on the tray, and put the
wast ink tube into the box. Shown as the picture:

2.4 Adjustment of the distance between print head and media
According to the thickness of different medias, the height of print head holder can be adjusted. The best
distance between print head and media is 1mm. Proper adjustment can be according to the flatness of media
in case that the print head grazes the media and destory the print effect. But large distance shouldn't surpass
2.5mm。The way of adjustment is to screw off the intro-hexgonal screws in the left and right sides of the print
head holder, then the hight can be adjusted. Please look at the chart 2-16:

2.5 Installation of ink
Ink is kept in vacuum bag.
Caution: 1.Please keep the ink out of the reach of children.
2.If the ink splashes into eyes, please use clean water to flush at once.
Notes:1.Please use the clean fluid accompanied with the machine to clean the ink tubes.
2.It is recommended to use the ink under 18℃-28℃.
3.Please keep the ink in shade place under room temperature. Avoid high 、 low temperature and
sunshine.
4.When ink bottle is open, please use the ink as soon as possible. It is not proper for long-term store.
5. If ink is found freezing in low temperature, you shoule let it dissolving in normal temperature and put
aside for several hours, then you can use it.
6.If ink splashes into hands or clothes, please clean it as soon as possible.
7.Don’t try to analyse cartiage.
8.Ink is chemicals, please properly handle with the empty bottle、scrap cartiage and waste ink in case
of bringing about pollution to the environment.
9.When install ink, please avoid pulling out ink bag so as to decrease its loss.
10.Please use the designated ink,do not use with other brand’s ink.
11.When adds ink, please don’t shake ink bottle. Shoul add ink when machine isn’t working. We should
adds slowly incase of bubble.
12.Move the cover before add the ink. Pour the ink into corresponding ink boxes, and put the cover to
prevent the dust entering the box.
Accoridng to the same way, adding all ink boxes before open the machine. The pump can draw the ink
into the subsidary ink boxes.
2.6 Installation of Print Head

Every print head has 8 rows of nozzles. Every row of nozzles has a specialized inking mouth for inking.
Every print head has two interfaces for print head’s flat wire as the Chart 2-19:

Every print head’s flat wire has the same bundles, they all have 31 bundles. But they are divided into
wide one and narrow one. The connecting of print head is as the above picture. “Down” marks the narrow flat
wire, while “Up” marks the wide flat wire. The print head’s sweeping board is the same. Look at Chart 2-20,

Print head has 8 ink bag, in Chart 2-21, they are:K1 K2 C1 C2 M1 M2 Y1 Y2(from left to right). First,
connect the ink refill tube with the ink bag, insert the ink bag into the print head. Click the “Pumping Ink’ in
the software, the ink will be absorbed into the print head.
2.7 Connecting to comput

2.Connect computer and printer by USB line. Open the computer and printer, the computer will display
there is a new hardware connected. This new hardware is the drive softare for mainboard of LITU1804.
After install this software, the computer can actively control the printer. Shown as the picture:
Choose “ Yes, now and every time I connect a device”, and press “Next”
Choose “ Install from a list or specific location( Advanced)”, and click “ Next”, come to the followling
window:
Choose “ Search for the best driver in these locations”, select “ Include this location in the search”, click
“ Browse”, come to following window:
Find the folder of the driver software ( in the program filesof control program), click “ OK”
“LTUsb_XP driver” is the one we need, click “Next”
The driver will automatically install. Above window will appear, click “ Continue anyway”.
It will appear following window when it is finished successfully.
After it is finished successfully, the driver can be found in the Device Manager/System Tools/Computer
Manager/ My Computer, as following window:
If it does not show “ LT USB Printer Devive” or “LT USB Printer Device” has a “?”, it means installation is not
successfully.
Chapter 3 Printing Control Software
3.1 Installation of printing software

Put the CD of RJ6-160 printing software into CD room of PC. Open this CD, and click the
“ RJ6-160setup.exe” , it will appear following window shown as figure 1.:

Click “ Next”, and go to next page as figure 2:

Choose “ I agree to the terms of this license agreement”. Click ” next” and go to next window shown as

Choose installation folder, disk C: is default, click “Next”. Go to Figure 5.

(4) Right:Print head holder move to the right
(5) Home: Back to the original start point
(6) Get origin:Set the original printing start point for print head holder, the left edge to machine
is the start point.
(7) Clean:Clean the print head
(8) Flush:Spray the ink out
(9) Pump:Draw the ink from ink box to print head
(10) Close:Close the print head
(11) Print:Print the current work
(12) Pause:Stop current work
(13) Stop:Cancel current work
(14) Nozzle Test:Print the test paper of print head

In the first line , from the left to the right:
(1) Power:When it is green , it means the connection between PC and machine is good
(2) Disconnect : Software disconnected with the machine, but the PC is connected with
machine.
(3) TCP/IP:Print and RIP
(4) Getorg:Set the printing start point for print head holder, the left edge to machine is the start
point .
(5) Home:Print head goes back to the original start point
(6) Paperin :make printing media forward
(7) P Back:Make printing media backward
(8) MzLeft:Print head holder move to the left
(9) MzRight:Print head holder move to the right
(10) Clean:Clean the print head
(11) Flush:Spray out the ink on printing media
(12) Pump:Draw the ink from ink box to print head
(13) Capping:close the print head with ink envelop
(14) Print:Print the current work
(15) Pause:Stop current work

In the second line, from left to right :
(1)Move to:Move the print head to setting point
(2)Start place:Start place to print
(3)Print speed : Printing speed of print head (Optional: Default, high-speed, middle
speed,lower speed
(4) Paper: It means Current printing media. Different media has different specifications,
please choose it correctly
(5)bidirectional print: select bidirection
(6)PassX2:It only used in 720 DPI mode. When it use 4Pass of 720 DPI, the actual output is
8Pass of 360DPI. Printing speed doesn’t change, but the printing effect is better.
(7)Blank: The print head doesn’t print in the blank place of media. It only print the place with
contents.
(8)Preview:Preview the print work. It can choose not to preview or preview according to the
color.
3.4 Fun

3.6.1 Basic configuration/User

3.6.2 Equipment Management
Click “ Basic Configuration”, and it shows the figure as above . Enter the engineer’s password, press” OK”. It
goes into the figure as shown below:(The engineer password is "pAn")
1, The “Basic configuration” has been introduced, it will not be introduced again here.
2, Ink Cleaner’s adjustment:
1. Set carriage position for capping: 1230
2. Set capping height :20000
3. Set wiping height:9000
4. H1 Wiping position: 9100
5. H2 Wiping position:11688
Press “ Save” after adjustment
3.6.3 Mechanical adjustment :
(1) STEP1=> Set Platform Origin Setting:Set the Curr-origin:3333
(2) STEP2=> Mechanical Length Dots :Machine Length:62800
(3) STEP3=> Nozzle test:Test the print head’s ink spray
(4) Step4=> XY Angle Adjustment
① H1/H2 horizontal adjustment: It means whether two print heads are on horizontally
parallel. Click” H1/H2 parallel adjustment”. The machine prints following standard drawing :
1# line is the overlap of blue and red color. If blue and red color overlap, it means that the
horizontal and vertical adjustment of print head are accurate. If not, move the print head to make the color
overlaps. 2# is red line, 3# is blue line. If the joint of 2#and 3# line can be on the one line, it indicates the
vertical and horizontal adjustment is accurate. If not, move the print head to make the two lines as one
line.
(5) Step5=>H2 to H1 Spacing in Y-direction :The test of the horizontal spacing distance between
two print heads. Click Y spacing test, it will appear the following test standard:
There are four lines in the blue sign. Check whether the distance among the four lines are the same. If not,
move the physical position of the print head and make the distances the same.
3.6.4 XY speed setting:
(1) XDPI:XDPI: Printing mode selection
(2) Speed select:Speed option: Printing speed of print head
3.6.5 X printing adjustment setting:
(1)*Speed model : It means speed of print test. Different speed has different printing test
adjustment
(2)H2 to H1 Spacing: It means the distance between the left and right of two print heads. The test
result as following:
When upper and lower lines overlap at ”0” position, it means the right and left space of print head are
accurate. If it is not on “0” but is on “-9” vertically, reduce 9 based on the figure shown in the “H2 to H1
Spacing”. Save the figure and test it again till the lines overlap at “0” postion. On the contrary, if it is on”9”
position, it will add 9 based on the figure shown in the “H2 to H1 Spacing”.
(3)Bi-direction adjustment: Test whether the start places of print head holder are on the same
place. The test result as following:

adjustment”. Savethe figure and test it again till the lines overlap at “0” postion. On the contrary, if it is on”9”
position, it will add 9 based on the figure shown in the “bidirection adjustment”. Print head space adjustment.
Color of print head get deviation. It can have left printing deviation and right printing deviation.. Click “ Left
adjustment”show the following figure:

First, the print head works toword to the left. Based on K1, lines of other colors is vertical to the black line
at “0” place. If it is at “0” place, the current color need not to be adjusted. If C2 is vertical to black line at “5”
place, it will add 5 on the original figure in the blank corresponding to the C2 print head. If the blue line is
vertical to black line at “-5” place, add ‘-5” on the original figure in the blank corresponding to the C2 print
head.
According to above ways, adjust K2,C1,C2,M1,M2,Y1,Y2, and save it. Click “ Right adjustment”, the way
is same as the “ left adjustment”. Adjust the deviation and save it.
In this step, to indentify the right and the left is very important. Two directions must be
identified.
3.6.6 Y printing adjustment is following:
(1)Select printing media, different printing media has different feeding capacity.
(2)PASS:Wait—Wait pass.
(3)Automatic Pass: 1# line is red. 2# is the line because of the overlap of red line and black line. 3# is
black line. Based on 2# line, if the red line and black line overlap, it means the feeding capacity is
good. If the black line on 2# is above the red line, it means the feeding capacity will be increased.
Increase numbers in the blank corresponding to 4 PASS till the red line and black line overlaps. If
the black line is under the red line, it means the feeding capacity is reduced.

Shown as the right picture, the feeding capacity should be increased if the adjustment picture is printed like it.
Use the same wayt to adjust the 4PASS, 6PASS, 8PASS,12PASS. Save it.
3.6.7 Drive software setting:

3.6.8 License management
Open the manual of license management, show as following:
Enter random 24 figures number, press “ OK”
The software can control this machine only after it indicates “ Authority successfully. Otherwise, it can
not control the machine.
Chapter 4 The installation of Photoprint
The installation of Rip software(Photoprint)
1. The installation of software
2. Put the software CD into the region,open the drive letter of the region,click the
“Autorun” file

It will appear the remind of language optional,choose the corresponding language and
click the button of OK,then install
Choose “next”
Choose “agree” and click
Choose the way of installation,click next
It will remind pull out “usb dongle” in installation ,then pull out it and click “ok”
Input the password,choose the correspongding language and click “done”
Click “finish”
Copy the “outputdrivers”and “program” files to the way of photoprint’s installation
Choose “yes” or “yes to all” to cover the file,then finish the installation
2.Add the printer
Open the software,choose “setup-add setup”,it will appear a dilog box,choose the
corresponging style to print
Click next
3.The set of internet print port
There are two printing types of Photoprint:rip and print after preservation of the
file .Preserve the file then print,choose “file ”,set the suffix name of the file
to”prn”,choose the way of preservation
Rip,choose tcp/Ip,the address of tcp/Ip is 127,0.0.1,the port number:9100
The use of software
Open the software,choose “job-add job”,add the pictures that need to be printed
Adjust the sizes of paper and image,if one picture needs to be printed several copies ,then
choose copy
Choose the corresponding printing precision
Choose corresponding “dither”
Finally click “send”,if you print after saving the file,open the control software of the
machine,choose the preserved file and print;if you choose rip,then just click rip of the
machine’s control software.
Typesetting of saving materials,you can add several images when adding,choose all
images,choose “nest jobs”by right click,adjusting and printing is the same with adding an
image
Chapter 5 Guide for Maintenance
5.1 Machinary Maintenance
5.1
Should monthly add the lithium lubricant in slippery block of the rail till the lubricant spills over from the
space between slippery block and rail.
Note: This operation must use special lubricant injector, should not use other devices.

Other suggestions:
1.Asynchronism and synchronization should use same operation
2.Devices with two rails should add lubricant of sartorius and light lubricant between wheels and two rails.
Add the lubricant one time every week.
3.Other parts will be used according to the actual operation condition.
