The nurse will assess and monitor the patient's vital signs, oxygen saturation, hemoglobin levels, skin appearance and pulse to evaluate tissue perfusion and detect any decreases. Interventions include using a pulse oximeter to monitor oxygen levels, checking urine output, assisting with position changes, providing education to the patient, and reporting abnormalities to the physician.
