Introduction
Summer Program in Management (SPM) at IIM Udaipur is an
academically rigorous on-campus program for those ambitious
college students and graduates who want to explore the
possibility of doing an MBA. The program provides the
students a unique opportunity to learn from the distinguished
faculty of IIM Udaipur, visiting industry experts, and their
peers in a dynamic, supportive, and thriving academic
environment. This program is for students who would like to
experience student life at an IIM, as a build-up to applying for
an MBA program as well as those interested in a one-time
learning experience. Students will also get an opportunity to
network with faculty and MBA students of IIM Udaipur on
campus and get a tour of the historic city of Udaipur.

• May 02 to May 12, 2023
• The program will be held at IIM Udaipur Campus
• Single Room (Air-conditioned) and board arrangements will be at
IIM Udaipur Campus
Application and Program Fees
• Application fees (non-refundable): Rs. 500 payable online
• Program fee:
o Early Bird fee is Rs. 95,000 (inclusive of GST @ 18%):
For applications submitted by March 31, 2023
o Regular fee is Rs. 1,25,000 (inclusive of GST @ 18%):
For applications submitted on April 1, 2023, and onwards
• Program fee is payable within 7 days after receiving offer of admission
• The program fee includes tuition, program materials, room and board,
laundry, city tour, and other costs related to the program.
• In case a student withdraws from the program latest by April 30, 2023,
by informing over email to spm@iimu.ac.in, 50% of the program fees will be
refunded. Any withdrawal from the program after this date will not be
eligible for any refund of program fee.

Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria:
The following students are eligible to apply:
• Students should be at least 18 years of age on the date of application
• Students in a graduate program (in any discipline) except those who are currently
in their first year,
or
Graduates (in any discipline)
Notes:
1. Students must have finished at least the first year of graduation and should submit
a copy of the mark-sheet for their first-year graduate exams or a copy of the admit
card for the first year graduate exams.
2. Students in their second, third, or fourth year in a graduate program, are welcome
to apply.
3. Neither an admission test nor an interview is required to get admission.

o Deposit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500, payable online
• The Admission Committee shall review the applications and decide on admission

APPLICATION
When is the application deadline?
• Application Fee: Rs. 500

Note: We recommend that the students apply as early as possible, as the program has limited seats.
What is the admission committee looking for?
Application are reviewed holistically, which takes into consideration your academic records, statement of
purpose, and other achievements.
Is there a minimum Marks/ GPA requirement?
There's no minimum Marks/ GPA requirement. You are required to input your cumulative Marks/ GPA on
your application, but there's no minimum Marks/ GPA for admission to Summer Program in Management.
What are the steps in applying for the Summer Program in Management?
You need to fill in the online application form and deposit Rs. 500 application fee (non-refundable). Your
application shall be reviewed by the Admission Committee and if selected, you shall be required to upload
your academic credentials online and pay the program fee.
What should I include in the Statement of Purpose?
You should describe your reasons and motivations for pursuing a Summer Program in Management at IIM
Udaipur. Describe briefly experiences that shaped your personality and career objectives.
Do I need CAT score to apply for Summer Program in Management?
CAT scores are not required to apply for this program.
Are application fee waivers available?
Unfortunately, application fee waivers are not available for the program. This fee goes toward the cost of
processing the application.
Is application fee refundable?
Once you submit your application and pay the application fee of Rs 500, this is non-refundable.

No prior work experience is required to apply in the program.

ACADEMICS & COURSES
Will you have online courses?
For Summer Program in Management, all courses will be taught in-person at IIM Udaipur classrooms on
campus.
How and when do I enrol in the Summer Program?
Students who apply and are accepted into the program will be issued an IIM Udaipur Letter of Offer within
15 days of their application.
Note: As there are limited number of seats in the program, it is advisable to apply early.
How do I determine what the workload will be during the program?
Typically, every day you shall have 4 classroom sessions (3 sessions before lunch and 1 after lunch). These
sessions shall have a duration of 75 minutes each. There shall be a tea break for 15 minutes between the
sessions.
The time commitment necessary to prepare in advance shall be approximately 2 hours for each session.
However, this may vary depending on the topic and pedagogy. Students will be divided in small groups
where they will be expected to discuss management cases in advance.
Which pedagogy will be used in the program?
Case study, lectures, and participant-centred learning pedagogies will be used in the program.
Will I be given any certificate upon the completion of the Summer Program in Management?
Yes. You shall receive an “IIM Udaipur - Summer Program in Management- Certificate of Participation”.

What is duration of the Summer Program in Management?
May 02 – May 12, 2023
Will the program be on-campus?
Yes, we are thrilled to have students on campus for Summer Program in Management. The program will
formally start on Tuesday, May 03, and end on Friday, May 12.
Does attending IIM Udaipur Summer Program in Management improve my chances of being accepted
at any of the MBA or other programs at IIM Udaipur?
Admission to Summer Program does not mean admission to IIM Udaipur.
IIM Udaipur does not have a preference for students who attend Summer Program in Management. The fact
that you are participating in a given program, activity, or work is not in and of itself the value-add to your
application. What is important to IIM Udaipur—and, for that matter, many other IIMs and management
institutes is how you learn, grow, and contribute because of these experiences.

PROGRAM FEE
What does the fee consist of?
This comprised largely of tuition fee, program material, air-conditioned single room hostel accommodation
on IIM Udaipur campus, meals, laundry, city tour, and other costs associated with the program.
When is the program fee payable?
Program fee is payable within 7 days after receiving offer of admission
Is there any scholarship?
Unfortunately, there is no scholarship available for the program.
Does the program fee cover travel and other local expenses?
No, the program fee does not cover any other expenses, other than those mentioned above.
Will IIM Udaipur assist in arranging local transport at Udaipur?
Yes. IIMU can facilitate the local transportation arrangements (airport or railway station to IIM Udaipur
campus and return), if requested, which will be payable additionally by students.
What is the Summer Program in Management Fee refund policy?
In case a student withdraws from the program latest by April 30, 2023, by informing over email to
spm@iimu.ac.in, 50% of the program fees will be refunded. Any withdrawal from the program after this date
will not be eligible for any refund of program fee.

HOUSING, ARRIVAL, AND DEPARTURE
Is there campus housing available?
Yes. All students will be provided a single room air-conditioned hostel accommodation during the entire
duration of the program.
Will there be separate accommodations for boys and girls?
Yes. Accommodation arrangements for boys and girls shall be made in separate hostels. These hostels shall
have male and female security guards respectively. Boys and girls are strictly not allowed to visit each
other’s hostel during the entire stay.
Am I allowed to leave IIM Udaipur campus anytime during the Summer Program?
No. You are not allowed to leave the campus during the entire duration of the program. All your needs
related to the program, board, and lodge will be met inside the campus.
When should I plan to reach IIM Udaipur?
The program inauguration and classes shall begin on Wednesday May 3, 2023. You should plan to reach IIM
Udaipur campus on May 2, 2023 by 6:00 pm. We shall host a welcome dinner at 7:00 pm at the IIM Udaipur
Campus Plaza. In case reaching on May 2,2023 is not convenient, you may plan to reach here on May 1, 2023.
When should I plan to leave IIM Udaipur?
The program will be over on May 12, 2023 by 5:00 pm. You can plan to leave the campus any time after this,
but not later than 10:00 pm on May 13, 2023.
PROGRAM POLICIES
Can Summer Program students have overnight guests?
All students must sleep in their assigned room overnight every night. No overnight guests are permitted in
the campus. Parents and legal guardians are not allowed to visit the students during the program duration.
Can the students leave the campus during the program?
No. All students have to stay on the campus during the entire duration of the program. IIM Udaipur shall
have all the necessary arrangements for the students with respect to accommodation and meals.
What are the (Covid 19) vaccination requirements to attend?
All Summer Program students must be fully vaccinated (initial vaccine and the booster shot).
What are the disciplinary policies of IIM Udaipur?
The students will be governed by the rules of IIM Udaipur. The institute has the right to ask a student to
leave the program anytime, if there is any misconduct or unruly behaviour. No refund will be permissible.
