GENERAL
- Medium voltage transformers type PT * are instruments convert large AC voltages in the
primary circuit to an appropriate level for secondary circuit equipment at the medium
voltage line (up to 40.5kV).
- PT* serises are designed epoxy casting or insulating oil immersed type.
- PT* series have high performance and high reliability. They are manufactured and tested
by modern technology line and equipments, ensured quality according to ISO9001:2015.
They comply with accuracy class specifications of the international standard IEC 61869-3;
IEC 60044-2.
- There are medium voltage feeding transformer for supplying low voltage to CB reclose
and other equipments.
1. Description:
- The steel cores are made of the grain-oriented silicon steel with high permeability,
ensuring minimum power fluctuation.
- The wire of coils made of enamel wire with high quality, temperature up to 200°C.
- The whole cores and coils are encapsulated by insulating oil immersed with hight
insulation, impervious to moisture.
- The primary inputs are connected by parallel groove connector or other types with high
trustworthily .
- The secondary terminals are located in an integral terminal block of body with protecting
box, terminalcover made of aluminium and sealing screws.
- The connection diagram is marked on the Name-plate.
- The base with 4 holes is easy for installing PT.

3. Instruction and maintenance
- Avoid strong shaking and impacting during transportation.
- Maintain at dry place, avoid dust, chemical, burning and exploded material, heat emitting or
strong shaking and impacting places.
- See the technicality and connection diagram before install. Check the oil leakage of the
cover.
- Insulation resistance test.
- Before power on, it is necessary to check the neutral connector (N) of the potential
transformer. Ground one terminal of each secondary winding during operation.
- The base must be grounded.
- Please do not connect over rated burden.
