4) GOD BLESS you!
1) Briefly, describe yourself.
My name is Elaiza but have a nick name called as Elay. I grew up in a humble province in Mindanao, but currently living in
Cordova, Cebu. There are times when I can be quiet and shy, but I also love being friendly and social with other people.
Whenever time permits, I do enjoy my me-time and my quiet moments by reading books and playing with my dogs. Music is an
important part of my life and you can regularly find me listening to Korean pop, Blues, Reggaeton as I study.
2) Why did you take up your course? [Your major course]
Honestly being asked by this question multiple times already, every time I answer it, feels different. But here I am taking this
path, doing my best to learn and earn my keep. I used to think that this course is undeniably a hard process to take, and I’m
right. Kidding aside, my willingness to learn pushed me to move forward. Right now, all I can say is that by finishing this degree
awaits great opportunities for me. Since I am also passionate to be an inspiring business woman too, I want to hold a perception
in the corporate world through studying this program.
3) How do you see yourself 3-5 years after your graduation?
In all honesty, as college students and recent graduates, most of us don’t know where we are looking to be in the five years.
Being a college graduate is one of the most precious achievements in one’s life. At the same time, it is also a sign that we must
face reality. Hopefully in 3-5 years’ time after I graduate, I plan to push myself to excel in every challenge I am faced with and
take on more responsibility. I would do my best to give myself the life or the world I deserve and give back to my family. I look
forward to learn new skills and improve my knowledge to advance my career.
4) Describe a decision that you have regretted and explain how you managed to “move on”!
At some point of my life in my lowest condition, most of my wrongs happened unexpectedly because my choices are rushed,
impulsive, not well thought out and choices made out of anger. In a blink of an eye things could change, with one decision we
might live a lifetime of regret. But those unexpected ones always mold us to be who we choose to become. Doubting is a battle
I am always fighting. Now, I’m trying to enjoy every moment in my life. Either sad or happy, I try to say “Okay rana, Lay. This
too shall pass.”
5) Given the many challenges in society today, which particular challenge do you want to share? Are you up to this
challenge?
Throughout the world, education has changed in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At present, the pandemic seems
to have ended, at least for the moment, and as life returns to normal little by little. As we attempt to readjust and transition to
F2F classes, the current circumstance is making it very difficult for all of students to cope with the changes. Because of the
changes that have occurred in our way of life, we no longer have the same experiences or engage in the same activities that
we have in online set-up. As this challenging academic term begins, I can say that I am not yet ready but I am looking forward
to take this challenge.
