II. Safety Remarks


(Safety instructions in other chapters of this operating manual must also be allowed for.)

General Safety Remarks for all LINTEC Systems

WHEN OPERATING THE SUPPLIED TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT CERTAIN PARTS ARE


ELECTRIFIED. UNPROPER HANDLING CAN CAUSE DEATH, INJURY OR MATERIAL
DAMAGE. Owner and operating, installating, maintenance and repair personnel are responsible
to familiarize themselves with the system, the content of this manual (including all appendices)
and all existing dangers, also those not explicitly mentioned in this manual, and with all appropri-
ate safety precautions as well as all local regulations which might be touched by operating the
supplied system.

Protections, such as covers around moving, rotating or electrified parts, may be removed
only for maintenance or repair and must be properly re-installed immediately after such
work has been completed.

For maintenance or repair the plant must be at standstill and power removed.

Modifications to the plant arrangement or changes in selection, position or connection of


parts or materials are not allowed without prior written approval from LINTEC. Especially
safety-relevant functions must not be by-passed.

All components of this plant may only be used in the combination as delivered. If single
parts are dismantled or used otherwise, all claims for power, performance, conformity etc.
are void.

Failures on the plant must be resolved immediately and in any cases before operation is
resumed. If the cause of the problem or a proper solution to it cannot be found, contact
LINTEC Service Department.

Any works of installation, maintenance or repair may only be carried out by professionals
specialized in such works. Tasks other than those described in this manual should gener-
ally only be performed by or in presence of LINTEC service personnel.

For welding works always fix the ground cable close to the component you are working on.
The welding current must never run through rolling bearings.

For the delivered system also note:

THE VIBRATION MOTORS MUST NOT BE TOUCHED WHEN OPERATING!

Use of pare parts:

It is explicitly recommended only to use spare parts supplied by LINTEC. Multiple bought-in
components, even if standard type codes are stated, are received by LINTEC in a modified
form. LINTEC will not be responsible for any damage or production shortcuts due to parts
not supplied by LINTEC.
