Contracts
This course covers the introduction to the basic concepts and principles of the Philippine Labor Code as an indispensable tool in human
resource management. Knowing the various labor and social legislation is as indispensable as knowing the basic laws of the land. The
Course scope will also cover different government instrumentalities involved in implementing labor and social legislation like the Department of
Description Labor, National Labor Relations Commission, the Social Security System, and others. The student is given the opportunity to learn how the
various labor laws affect the manner business operates, the interplay of various sectors, the limitations and scope of freedom in the
workplace will influence the culture of the organization.

In addition to the grading system and in accordance to the University’s policy, students who wish to shift to any programs should maintain a general weighted

CLASS POLICY
A. Attendance

Students are not allowed to have 20% or more absences of the total class hours; otherwise, they will be graded as follows:
Dropped (if majority of the excessive absences are excused)

B. Classroom Decorum

During face-to-face mode, students are required to:


1. wear identification cards at all times;
2. wear face mask at all times
3. observe physical/social distancing at all times
4. clean the classroom before and after classes;
5. avoid unnecessary noise that might disturb other classes;
6. practice good manners and right conduct at all times;
7. practice gender sensitivity and awareness inside the classroom; and
8. come to class on time

During distance mode, students are required to:


1. sign an honor system pledge;
2. avoid giving or receiving unauthorized aid of any kind on their examinations, papers, projects and assignments,
3. observe proper netiquette during online activities, and
4. submit take home assignments on time

C. Examination/Evaluation

1. Quizzes may be announced or unannounced.


2. Major examinations are always announced.
3. Cheating is strictly prohibited. A student who is caught cheating will be given a score of “0” for the first offense. For the second offense, the student
will automatically fail the subject.
4. Students who missed exams, laboratory exercises, or quizzes may only be excused for any of the following reasons:
a. participation in a University/College-approved field trip or activity (must be cleared one week in advance);
b. personal illness (must present medical certificate); and
c. death or serious illness of the immediate family (must present death or medical certificate)
d. due to force majeure or natural calamities

For students who often have concerns or questions about mental wellness issues, whether for themselves or a friend, support is available at the Guidance
Office under the Office of the Student Affairs and Services.
