Screws Capacities

This document provides tables and equations for determining the structural capacities of Grade A4-70 spaced thread screws according to AAMA TIR-A9-1991 standards. Table S4 lists the allowable shear and bearing values for screw sizes M3.5 through M6.3 for different aluminum ply thicknesses. Table S5 lists the allowable tension and pull-out values for the same screw sizes and ply thicknesses. The document also provides the material properties and equations used to calculate the structural capacities.

NOTES :
- Italic bearing capacity values are greater than the shear capacity of the bolt, Hence, use minimum shear capacity of the bolt.
- Equations 18, 19, & 20 were taken from AAMA TIR - A9 - 1991 (2000 addendum).
- Allowable Shear & Bearing were taken from Table 27 ( Section D).
- Allowable Pull-out from Table 42 spaced thread screws.
