Binding: Cut 5 strips 2¼" or 2½" x WOF or create 200" of continuous scrappy binding, as
preferred.

Want to create a smaller block,

finishing at 21" square?
Cut the same number of units shown above
but instead of 3½" squares use 2" squares,
and instead of 4" squares use 2½" squares.

Sewing Instructions:
HST units:

1. Select a 4" x 4" C1 and C2 square. Use a pencil to draw a diagonal line on the wrong
side of the C1 square and pair with the C2 square, RST. Sew a scant ¼" from either side
of the marked line. Cut on the drawn line to yield 2 HST units. Press one unit toward the
C1 fabric and the other toward the C2 fabric. Trim HSTs to 3½" square.

2. Repeat Step 1 to make another C1/C2 HST pair.
