Product description
KAN-TAURUS Phenolic Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer is two component phenolic based epoxy primer.
Recommended use
It has excellent anti-corrosive properties, excellent chemical and solvent resistance and is specially used in environment where
excellent solvent resistance and heat resistance is required.

Surface Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance etc. All traces of form release agents/curing agents
must be removed. A light sanding with suitable abrasive material is recommended before application. Any resulting dust/loose
particles must be removed.
Recommended Surface Preparation standard: SSPC SP-10
Condition during application
Do not apply at temperature below 10oC or if the Relative humidity exceeds 85% or within 3oC of the Dew Point.
Application Methods
Brush, roller, air assisted or airless spray. Apply an even coat to the recommended film build using a brush or roller. While using a
spray apply one wet coat overlapping the last one by 50%. Standard equipment such as Graco, Hermex, Binks or others using a 30:1
pump ratio for airless spray can be used.

Mixing ratio 4:1 by Volume
Stir each component thoroughly before mixing. Add Comp. B to Comp. A in the ratio supplied

and mix until uniform in color and consistency.

Storage
The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. Keep the containers in a dry, cool, well ventilated space and away
from sources of heat and ignition. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Handle with care.

Handle with care. Stir well before use.
