INTERNAL AUDIT
QMS Internal Audit Procedure is a systematic and independent examination
of operational information to assure that the organization governance, risk
management, and internal control processes are effective.
OBJECTIVES
To identify opportunities to improve the Quality Management System
To verify conformance to applicable standards
To verify conformance to documented processes and procedures
To verify effectiveness of business processes.
AUDIT GUIDELINES
Review relevant information related to the assigned tasks of the area under
audit.
The audit checklist is not intended to be a script that the auditor follows
verbatim. Rather, it should be used as a tool to ensure that the basic
requirements have been addressed and that adequate evidence has been
recorded.
The audit report should be put together after the audit by the lead auditor
and sent to the auditee within 3 days with the total audit score, all
observations/findings and recommendations.
The Quality Assurance department would follow-up to verify and ensure
corrective actions to non-conformances are duly closed.
The key members of the areas being audited should be involved in any follow
up corrective actions required for compliance.
