Objectives:
       1. Students will be able to review the sites of egg production and the transportation and
           delivery of the egg cell.
       2. Students will be able to develop their sense of cooperation.

Procedure:
        This activity will be a group activity in which each group will compete which can answer first
in a short time with their notes closed.
        Answer the concept map below on the pathway of the egg cell that is released from the
ovary.

      A girl lives in a squatter area with no water nearby for her to bathe everyday or to wash any
  parts of her body any time of the day. The water they get from other barangay will be for drinking
  only. She can only wash her body once in a week.
      Do you think the girl has a healthy
  reproductive system? Why?
      Cite at least 5 female reproductive diseases or disorders the girl can acquire for not washing
  or for not taking a bath everyday.
Problem 2.
      According to a certain study, smoking can cause problems for virtually all aspects of the
   reproductive system. Women who smoke are more likely to have difficulty conceiving, may
   not respond as well to treatment for infertility, experience earlier menopause and have an
   increased risk of cervical and vulval cancer.
      Why is it that smoking can cause problems in the female reproductive system? What is in
   cigarette smoke that may cause problems of the system? (Integrate other systems of the
   body.)
Problem 3.
      Mary became pregnant at the age of 14. She gave birth prematurely at the 6 th month of
  pregnancy. Her premature fetus died minutes after it was delivered. The doctor told her
  parents that Mary’s uterus was not yet ready for the development of an embryo.
      Why did the doctor said that Mary’s uterus was not yet ready for the development of an
  embryo? Can Mary get pregnant again after the premature birth of her baby?
Problem 4.
      A certain woman has many sexual partners. One day in her life, she was diagnosed to
  have contacted sexually transmitted infection such as gonorrhea.
      Why did the woman have contacted gonorrhea? Can she get pregnant after she’ll be
  cured from gonorrhea and get married?
Problem 5.
      A certain lady is overweight. She belongs to obese in BMI result. She got married but
  after 7 years of trying to conceive, it was a failure. Her ob-gyne doctor told her to lose weight
  so that she’ll get pregnant.
      Why did the doctor ask her to lose weight? What is the relationship with her weight and
  getting pregnant?
