Wishing all of you a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year (2021)!

At BlueHorse Software Solutions Pvt Ltd we do practices best benchmark-policies on all segments to ensure
maximum employee satisfaction and quality output. Employees are the biggest asset for any organization and

Thus, it is important that company offers Leave plans, which ensures maximum benefit to the employees.
Leave practice influences the fine line between employee productivity and flexibility to manage life beyond
work. Also, when employees go on leave, the team members get an opportunity to develop their skills and
enables businesses to be more systems and process driven, rather than individual dependent.

The primary objective of this policy is to release employees from the pressure of work and to provide them
time-off under circumstances such as sickness and other personal reasons via an efficient leave policy.

With proper evaluation and review we announce our new Leave policy which will be valid from 1st of January
2021 for all full-time employees in BlueHorse Software Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Leave Policy for BlueHorse Software (2021)

Objective:

The objective of the Leave Plan is to streamline and arrive at common eligibility and entitlements for all
employees across the Organization. This policy comes into force with effect from 1st of January 2021.

Coverage:

This policy is applicable to all full-time employees of BlueHorse Software. “Leave of absence” is provided to an
employee to take care of contingencies in personal life, to recuperate and to go on a vacation as a break from
work.In BlueHorse Software, we would offer 4 kinds of paid leave such as

• Official Holidays as per leave calendar in Annexure L-C


• Casual leaves – 12 in a year

• Medical leave-6 in a year


• Restricted Leave-3 in a year

Casual Leave

Purpose: To enable an employee to attend to personal work or family affairs. Casual Leaves are paid leaves.

Eligibility:

All regular, full- time employees at BlueHorse Software are eligible for Casual Leave. Casual Leave is calculated
annually for the calendar year (January-December) If you have joined during the middle of the year, your
casual leave will be prorated from 3 months from the date you start employment through December 31 of that
calendar year.

Entitlement:

There will be 12 Casual leaves entitlement each year. New employees are eligible to use Casual Leave but
after three months of date of joining and if he/ she join in middle of the year then Casual Leaves will be
calculated at the rate of 1 Leave per month for remaining months (after 3 Months) in the calendar year.
Employees quitting organization in the mid of the year cannot avail more than 1 leaves per month for the
calendar year. These employees have to pay back Leaves taken more than entitlement. Casual leaves taken
more than entitlements will be considered as “Unpaid Leaves”. Employees cannot avail Casual Leaves more
than 3 together in a month.

Process:

An employee can request for Casual Leave to attend to personal matters. These would be granted at the
discretion of the PM/TL. Employee is required to apply for Casual Leave at least 2 days in advance. All casual
leaves taken without proper permission will be considered as “Unapproved Leave” Every casual leave should
be supported with a formal mail to HR and TL before 2 days of the leave. If you are unable to inform or unable
to send mail then it will be considered as “Unapproved Leave”.
Medical Leave

Purpose:

To enable an employee to recover from any kind of illness due to which he/she may be unable to attend work.
Medical Leaves are Paid Leaves.

Eligibility:

All regular, full- time employees at BlueHorse Software are eligible for Medical Leave. Medical Leave is calculated
annually for the calendar year (January-December).

Entitlement:

There will be 6 Medical leaves entitlement each year. New employees are eligible to use Medical Leave
immediately after hire. 2 Medical Leaves will be provided to them during their initial 3 months of probation. If
you have joined during the middle of the year, then will be calculated at the rate of 0.5 Leaves per month for
remaining months in the calendar year after you complete your probation period. Employees quitting
organization in the mid of the year cannot avail more than 0.5 leaves per month for the calendar year. These
employees have to pay back Leaves taken more than entitlement. Medical leaves taken more than entitlements
will be considered as “Unpaid Leaves”.

Process:
An employee can request for Medical Leave in case of his sickness or any medical reasons. The employee is
required to apply for Medical Leave or in case or urgency, employee need to inform about the leave to the HR
with prescription or medical document on the date of joining, otherwise will be considered as “Unapproved
Leave”. Medical leave (SL) applied for 2 days at a stretch will need to be supported with proper medical
documents or will be marked as unpaid leave (UPL).

Restricted Leave

Purpose:

To enable an employee to avail religious festival or birthday/anniversary from list of restricted holidays.

Eligibility:

All regular, full- time employees at BlueHorse Software are eligible for Restricted Leave. Restricted Leave is
calculated annually for the calendar year (January-December).
Entitlement:
There will be 3 Restricted leaves entitlement each year. New employees are eligible to use Restricted Leave but
after three months of their date of joining and if he/ she joins in middle of the year then Restricted Leaves will be
calculated at the rate of 1 Leave every 4 months for remaining months (after 3 Months) in the calendar year.

Process:

An employee can request for Restricted Leave for religious festival and occasions. These would be granted at the
discretion of the PM/TL. Employee is required to apply for Restricted Leave at least 2 days in advance. All
restricted leave taken without proper permission will be considered as “Unapproved Leave”.
Annexure L-A

Paid Leave

Paid leaves are leaves with proper remuneration as like working days.

Official Holidays, Restricted Leave, Casual Leave and Medical Leaves are Paid Leaves. All other leaves are not
Paid Leaves

Unpaid Leaves

All Approved leaves outside Official Holidays, Restricted Leave, Casual Leave and Medical Leaves are Unpaid
Leaves. Unpaid leaves are special leaves on which the day’s salary is deducted. Unpaid leaves can be approved
only on special cases by HR.

Thus, the same will be calculated as:

(Gross Salary / No. of working Days) * No of Unpaid Leave Unapproved

Leave

All leaves outside Paid leaves and unpaid leaves are unapproved leaves. Employees cannot avail unapproved
leaves and it will be considered an offense with penalty. Penalty can be as severe as termination from Job.
Minimum Penalty of unapproved leaves will be penalty of pay of 2 working days

Thus, the same will be calculated as:

(Gross Salary/ No. of working Days) * 2 * No of Unapproved Leave


Annexure L-B

Working Hours

• BlueHorse Software practices Flexible and employee friendly working Hours.


• General office Hours will be from 10 AM to 7 PM (Monday to Saturday, 1 st ,3 rd & 5 th Saturday is off)

• The office will remain open from 8 AM to 10 PM


• Nine Hours working is mandatory for every employee, including tea and lunch break
• Working less than Nine Hours will be treated as Half Day (If not TL/PM 's written Approval). Each Half day will
call for deduction of half day’s salary. Minimum 5 hours working is necessary for Half day count

Thus the half day will be calculated as:

(Gross Salary / No. of working Days) * ½

• Lunch break is maximum 45 mins and 15 mins tea break


• Working Saturdays are flexible for the employees. Anyone who is willing to take an early leave for that day
will require the permission of TL/PM having a genuine reason for the same despite his/her work is not
hampered. It should be intimated beforehand in mail. But minimum 5 hours working will be mandatory.

• Employees on Saturday can also avail for Work from Home option with a proper approval mail from their
respective TL/PM.

Special Clause

Apart from paid leaves we bring you the option to work from home (WFH)

Employees with proper infrastructure at their home can take WFH. Below are the terms for the same:
- WFH is not allowed on Mondays

- Employees cannot take more than 2 WFH in a month

- Prior written approval from TL / PM has to be there before you take the WFH.
- TL / PM to ensure that deliverables are properly defined in the Request / Approval

- Employees to send proper work report along with hrs break up before End of the Day
- Deliverables Defines has to complete else the day will be considered Leave without pay

- If you do not have any work for the day, please send a mail before 10 AM regarding the same to your TL, PM and HR in
this cases we will arrange some other work if not provide any work now this day will be considered as a paid day.

If any of the above terms are not true, the day will be considered as Leave Without Pay or Un-Approve Leave
Annexure L-C
Official Holidays:

Eight holidays as per below list will be considered as Official holiday for the calendar Year.
The list of Official Holidays for 2021 is attached below.

Restricted holidays:
In addition to the company’s holidays, employees are entitled to 3 days of restricted
holidays. Any employee can take a leave for Three days for religious festival and
birthday/anniversary form List of Restricted Holiday. A restricted holiday also needs to be
applied for, just like any Casual leaves and this will be included in the total number of
holidays entitled per employee.
