FIRST PART
The song begins in a dark and gloomy forest that hardly gets sunlight. The forest
is dense and has many fig and cypress trees. There are many animals here, such as
snakes, basilisks, hyenas, tigers and lions. To a fig tree in the middle of the
forest, the feet, hands and neck of a handsome young man, with smooth skin and
golden hair, were tied. Too bad there are no forest nymphs to save the young man.
The bound young man was crying. He said evil, misfortune, cruelty and exploitation
reigned in the kingdom of Albania. No justice exists inside and outside the town.
It happens that the powerful even side with the wicked and liars: they kill those
who speak the truth and silence those who speak good. In all of this, the people
just did nothing. Count Adolfo will do everything, because he wants to have the
power of King Linseo and the wealth of Duke Briseo, the father of the bound. He
cries to heaven to punish the perpetrator of all this, but it seems that God does
not want to listen to him. On the other hand, he trusts God who knows what is
inside him.
The bound young man begs the heavens to cast down its wrath and punish the wicked.
He knows that everything that happens is for the good of everyone, so he is ready
to suffer. His only wish is that he will be remembered by his beloved Laura. If he
imagines Laura crying over his death, it's as if he had eternal life. But what
torments him so much is the suspicion that his rival, Adolfo, may have stolen
Laura's love. The young man in chains is a picture of sadness and jealousy. He
shouted his displeasure throughout the forest because Laura seemed to have
forgotten him, he still needed her now. Back then, when going to war, Laura made
the young man burst into tears. Laura also decorates Florante's turban with the
letter L and precious stones and diamonds. After recovering from the battle, the
young man's small scar was immediately washed away by Laura with tears. And if the
young man is sad, Laura tries to comfort him. The bound young man wanted Laura to
once again show her former concern for him. But the man is afraid that Adolfo may
have kidnapped Laura. That's why he said that he will thank Adolfo even if he
tortures him a lot, just don't take Laura away. The man cried until he was moved.
It happened that Florante came to the forest, a warrior or warrior whose clothes
could be said to be a Moor from Persia, Aladin. He sat in the shade of a tree and
cried. His cruel father Sultan Ali-Adab kidnapped his beloved Flerida. He
threatened that he would kill anyone who stole the woman's love, except for his
father. Even though it was painful, Aladin's respect for his father still
prevailed, so instead of retaliating against the father who stole his lover, he
preferred to be patient and wander in the forest where Florante was bound. The
gereron Moro exclaimed that the power of love was so great. Even husband and wife
fight because of love.

SECOND PART
While Aladin was crying, he suddenly heard a sigh. He turned his gaze to the forest
to find the source of the deep breath. Later he heard a sob. Moo remembers the
bound father, Duke Briseo, who was lovingly killed by Adolfo. His father's head,
body and hands were dismembered and no one dared to bury him. But until the last
moment, only the welfare of the only child was in the father's mind.
The gerero also remembered his own father who, unlike the father of the bound man,
never once showed love to his son. What's even more painful is that his father took
away the woman he loved. The gerero lost his mother early so he never tasted
parental love. The gerero's thoughts were interrupted when he heard from the bound
man that even if he were to be buried, Laura would still love him.
The gerero's thoughts stopped when he heard from the bound man that even if he was
buried, he would still love Laura. Have said goodbye to Laura and prayed that she
would be happy in the company of others. Meanwhile, there were two lions nearby,
who at the sight of it seemed to want to eat Florante.
The lions seemed to stop and forgot about their attempt to eat him. At that time,
Florante said goodbye to Albania, which was now full of evil. He mentioned his
resentment at thinking that the people he defended repeatedly against enemies had
forgotten him, and at Laura because he thought the one he loved had abandoned him
in the face of imminent death.
Aladin could no longer bear the intense pity he heard so he looked for the source
of the lamentation. When he saw that it was a Christian who was lamenting (who was
a mortal enemy of the Morong like him) he hesitated whether to help or not. But his
hesitation was only for a moment because he saw that two ferocious lions were ready
to attack the poor man who was tied up. He immediately rushed and killed the lions.
Then he hurriedly helped the young man who was now unconscious and looked like a
corpse. He observed her face and chest to determine if she was still breathing.
Although worried about the young man's condition, he calmed down when he started to
move – a sign that he was about to wake up.
When Florante woke up, he immediately looked for Laura. To his surprise, he was in
the lap of a Morong who was considered the enemy of his race. He tried to get up
but he couldn't. Aladin pacifies him. He accepted the help of an "enemy." Aladin
did not sleep all night to take care of and guard Florante from the animals that
roam the forest. His bag fed the two days bound in the forest, before he came to
help or help. The Moro watched over it while sleeping due to the extent of the
body's weakness. When Florante woke up, he regained some strength. To Aladin's joy,
he burst into tears again and hugged Florante with great gratitude because the
young man lived. Very thankful to God and his savior who is a good enemy. The
Morong asked Aladin what was the problem or problem in Florante's life. He said the
Moro wanted him to help

THIRD PART
The two sat under a tree and Florante told Aladin his life from the beginning until
his bad luck. Florante was born in Albania. His parents are Duke Briseo and
Princess Floresca. If he had been born in Krotona, his mother's city, instead of
Albania, his father's city, he would have been happier. His father became an
adviser to King Linceo. He also told that he was almost snatched by a vulture while
he was sleeping on the bed when he was young. His mother screamed, Menalipo
immediately heard it and killed the vulture by shooting at it. When Florante was
nine years old, he loved to play on the hill with his friends and there he
inherited birds. It was leaving them early in the morning and was reached by noon.
But Florante's happy memories did not last long because his father ordered him to
leave Albania.
Florante's father cut off the happiness he was enjoying in order to improve his
life. He will be educated in Athens so that his mind will become aware of the
proper socializing with others despite the objections and tears of his dear mother.
Duke Briseo knows that the blame is heaped on the parent when the child has not
been good in his growth like the upbringing of pampering and the same results. The
world is full of difficulties, so the will must be strengthened because when a
person does not know how to endure, he will not be able to resist the trials that
the world brings. All of these are caused by improper parenting or parental
neglect. Therefore, Florante was sent to Athens when he was young to study there.
There his thoughts will be revealed in real life.
Florante studied under the supervision of Maestro Antenor. Ever since he came to
Athens, his sadness and longing have been the same. He couldn't stop the tears,
fortunately he was comforted by the master who was taking care of him. One of those
he met was Adolfo, his compatriot and Count Sileno's son, thirteen years old, the
picture of kindness. But what surprised him was that he could not enjoy the
kindness he showed. Meanwhile, he learned philosophy, astrology and mathematics.
How happy his schoolmates as well as him are because of his quick learning. It was
obvious that Adolfo's kindness did not come from his will. The students also
noticed this when the school held a program. A dance competition, wrestling and
arnis games were held. Later a tragedy was staged and Florante and Adolfo played
the roles of Etyokles and Polinese.
The two fought as brothers, both seeking the crown of their Oedipus. But instead of
following the script Adolfo declares that Florante has stolen his honor and must
die. But he was able to avoid Adolfo's three impressive tags, thanks to Menandro's
quick help. The next day they did not see Adolfo. It has returned home to Albania.
Florante stayed in Athens for a year while waiting for his father's decision; until
he receives a letter that brings poison to his heart. The letter mentions the death
of his mother. He lost consciousness and when he regained his composure, he felt
sadness and pain. He was alone in the midst of suffering and sadness. Florante
deeply felt the death of his mother. Even the maestro's consolation lost value
until the second letter from his father sent him home to Albania. His master did
not lack advice and will to be careful with Count Adolfo when he arrived in his
town. The schoolmates who brought Florante to tears as well as Menander were sad at
their separation until his father allowed him to go to Albania. At the speed of the
car, he immediately reached his hometown.

FOURTH PART
When they arrived in Albania, they were met by his father, Duke Briseo. They were
both saddened by what happened to his mother. On the other hand, the arrival of a
messenger from Florante's grandfather, the king of Krotona, asking for help because
their town was attacked by the Persian army, General Osmalik. Duke Briseo
introduced Florante to King Linseo and at the meeting of the leaders it was decided
that Florante would lead the army that would help defend Krotona.
Florante met the king's daughter Laura, a young woman who rivaled Venus in beauty,
a beauty hard to imagine betraying. In front of Laura's beauty, Florante always
makes mistakes because he is afraid that he might not be worthy of the girl. The
king feasted for Florante for three days.
During this time, Florante did not even talk to Laura privately. Luckily, one day
before Florante left to go to war, he talked to the girl and confessed his love.
The girl did not answer 'yes' but she shed tears when Florante left for war.
Because of Laura's tears, Florante endured the sadness of losing her loved one.
Arriving at the battle, Florante's army found the fortress of Krotona nearly
destroyed by the enemy. But Florante and his soldiers defended valiantly until
Osmalik challenged Florante to face them both. They fought for five hours until
Florante killed Osmalik. The townspeople celebrated Florante especially since he
was probably the grandson of the king of Krotona. But their joy was mixed with
sadness when the grandfather met. The pain of Florante's mother's death resurfaced.
Here Florante thought that there is no absolute happiness in the world.
After five months in Krotona, Florante insisted on returning to Albania to see
Laura. Florante's hunch was not wrong. The Moro flag is waving in Albania. Florante
first stopped his army at the foot of the mountain. From there they saw that a
woman was about to be beheaded. Florante quickly invaded and defeated the Moors.
The woman saved was none other than Laura. The girl's head will be cut off because
she rejected the emir's love and she was even slapped. that's when Laura uttered
"dear Florante." Florante released the king, his father and the other prisoners
including Adolfo. Adolfo became even more envious of Florante not only because of
the praise he received but because he even won Laura's love. Because of this,
Adolfo once again planned to destroy Florante.
A few months later, the Turkish army led by Miramolin attacked. But Florante
defeated Miramolin. Florante's victory came one after the other until the number of
kings who honored him reached 17.
One day, Florante and his army were in Aetolia when the king's letter arrived
sending him home. He left the army to Menander. But when he arrived in Albania, he
was attacked by 30,000 armed men and was not imprisoned. That's when he found out
that Adolfo killed King Linseo and his father, Duke Briseo. Laura is set to marry
Adolfo. Florante was imprisoned for eighteen days. Later, he was tied up in the
forest where the Moro warrior found him.

FIFTH PART
When Florante finished telling the story, the Moro introduced himself. He is Aladin
from Persia who is the son of Sultan Ali-Adab. Aladin said that since he and
Florante are both unfortunate, they will live together in the forest. That's when
Aladin narrated his past life. He told the story of his own father's plan to steal
Flerida from him. He imprisoned him on the charge that he left the army in Albania
without the sultan's orders. And when Florante regained Albania, Aladin was
sentenced to beheaded. He was forgiven on the condition that he leave Persia at the
same time. Although he survived death, Aladin wanted to die more than someone else
could steal Flerida's love.
The two stopped talking when they heard two women talking. According to one, when
he learned that his beloved was to be beheaded, he begged the sultan. The sultan
agreed to pardon the girl's boyfriend, if she agreed to marry the sultan. The woman
could do nothing but agree. But her boyfriend left when they didn't talk. When
their wedding was decorated, the woman in a soldier's dress ran away. He wandered
for years in the mountains and jungles until he saved the person he was talking to.
Then Florante and Aladin suddenly appeared. In that unexpected meeting, the
happiness of the four characters cannot be measured. Laura narrated the story.
According to him, Adolfo believed that the king would starve the townspeople so
they got into trouble. Following the chaos, Adolfo kills the king and his faithful
disciples. Adolfo usurped the kingship and forced Laura to marry him. Without
revealing her true intentions, Laura agreed but asked for a five-month grace period
so that Florante could return home in time. Unfortunately, Florante falls for
Adolfo's scheme and is exiled. Laura was ready to kill herself when Menandro
arrived who received Laura's letter to Florante. Adolfo runs away, leaving Laura
who was tried to abuse him in that forest. It was Flerida's arrival. It shot Adolfo
who died immediately.
After Laura's story, Menandro arrives with an army. He was very happy to see his
friend Florante. The army hailed the new king Florante. Florante brought Aladdin
and Flerida together in Albania who both agreed to become Christians. Florante and
Laura and Aladin and Flerida are married. Aladin and Flerida returned to Persia
when Sultan Ali-Adab died. The citizens who were satisfied with the leadership of
Florante and Laura thanked God. The song ends with the poet asking his Muse to
bring Celia his "Ay!...Ay!"
