  Content standard: The learners demonstrate understanding of the properties of substance that distinguish
 them from mixture.
 Performance Standards: The learners should be able to investigate the properties of mixtures of varying
 concentrations using available materials.
 Learning Competency: Distinguish mixture from substance based on a set of properties.
I.      Objectives
        Trough video presentation the students should be able to;

                 Pure Substance
           3. Motivation
            Ask the following questions to the students?
          1. What is matter?
          2. What comes in first into your mind when you hear the word mixture?
     B. Presentation
          Ask the students based on the video ask the students what could be our objectives for
             todays lesson.
          The teacher will present the objectives.
a; define mixture and its type;
b; differentiate homogeneous and heterogeneous;
 c; classify pure substance and mixture.
   C. Discussion
    Let the students watch and understand the video about mixture
    Let the students take down notes
       After the video
    The students will listen as the teacher further emphasize and explain the content of the
     video.
       Mixture- are formed when two or more substance are combined together by physical means.
       Example: salt and water, fruit salad, water and coffee powder,
       Homogenous- A mixture of substances blended so thoroughly that you cannot see
       individual substance.
       Heterogenous – they don’t have a uniform composition and the sizes of the particle vary
       and you can easily identify one substance from the other.
    The word hetero means many this means that the substances combined together to form
     many phases any mixture that contains more than one phase of matter is a heterogenous
     mixture.
     Example; oil and water, soda,
   D. Application
      The students will play the boat is sinking until they will form 6 a group with 7 members
        each.
      The students will classify the following into pure substance or mixture.
1. silver
2. coffee
3. air
4.baking soda
5. carbon dioxide
6. hydrogen
7. carbonara
8. mud
9. table salt
10. soft drinks
