Course description

Main objective of this course is to learn how to use conventional and contemporary methods of hand
sewing with basic and finishing stitches applied on a garment.

Course outcome

On successful completion of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to

 Learn Tailors Tacks ,Seam with Bias Binding & Sandwich seam.
 Learn Edge finishing with bias binding ,hem finishes and variation of edge stitch.

Teaching strategies

The course objectives are met by deploying variety of teaching and learning methods including lectures, group
critiques, slides and video presentations. The reference reading and visual materials are distributed according to
the teaching unit/module requirements.

The study time allocated to each unit in the course incorporates a balance of formal teaching, tutorial support and
individual study. The course is structured progressively to provide increased opportunities for independent learning
as you reach later stages of the course.

Course description

Digital fashion course enhance the skills of students at a very basic level through different software
which are practically used in our fashion industry. It will be enable students to meet the needs of our
industry which is becoming more digitalizing then manual work. Course would also include different
types of industrial printings methods.

Course outcome

On successful competition of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to

Course description

This course is mandatory for a fashion student. The objective of these courses is to give an idea of 3D
garment making. Main focus would be on lower torso so that student will learn to drape different kind of
skirts, volumes and lengths. Students need to learn both 2D and 3D form of garment so that he/she can
practice it in the future. The objective is to develop basic skills of draping so that they can use this
knowledge in next level of this subject.

Course outcome

On successful competition of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to

Course description

This course is an introduction to Fashion Design. The main objective of this course is to introduce
students to basic design principles, including proportion, color and garment details. This course helps the
student to develop drawing skills of basic figure and technical drawing.

Course description

The course aims to enable students to develop an understanding about color proportion and its
application and to explore various techniques. Through the series of extensive studio based learning
projects, participants will learn the basics of textile design.

Course outcome

On successful completion of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to

Teaching strategies

The course objectives are met by deploying variety of teaching and learning methods including lectures, group
critiques, slides and video presentations. The reference reading and visual materials are distributed according to
the teaching unit/module requirements.

The study time allocated to each unit in the course incorporates a balance of formal teaching, tutorial support and
individual study. The course is structured progressively to provide increased opportunities for independent learning
as you reach later stages of the course.
