Tutorial
Difficulty: Extremely Easy 4
The sirens were the only warning we had
before everything went to hell. We were
lucky enough to be close to a shopping mall
and barricaded ourselves in, but now our
food is gone and help isn’t coming. We have
to figure out what happened out there.

Objective: Find 4 fuel cans and make your


way to the van you can see in the distance
from the rooftop. When everyone has
successfully made it to the van and you have
enough gas, you can hightail it out of here.

Setup: All Players start on the Shopping Mall


tile. It starts flipped up and revealed.
Z
1. Save the Scientist
Difficulty: Easy 4
You pick up a garbled message on the radio.
Someone is alive out there and they say
they can stop this nightmare. They have
barricaded themselves in a Police Station but
are running out of time.

Objective: Rescue the Scientist at the Police


Station. When at the Police Station, you can
spend two actions to rescue the Scientist.
Carry the Scientist back to your van to escape
the area.

Setup: Place the Scientist and boss card off


to the side. The first player to land on the
Police Station draws the boss card.
Z
2. collect samples
Difficulty: Very Easy 4
The Scientist says that he needs samples to
find a cure, so we’re going to have to get out
there and kill some Zombies.

Objective: Kill and Collect samples of 8


Zombies. Every time a zombie is killed add
that card to this objective. Collect 2 of each:
Walker, Spitter, Dog and Soldier to complete
this objective. Once you have all the samples
and fuel, get back to the van to escape.

Boss Setup: Without looking at them, draw


9 cards from the monster deck, add the Boss
card to them and shuffle. Place those 10
cards at the bottom of the monster deck.

3. Find the Cure
Difficulty: Easy

Objective: Cure the Zombie Outbreak


by getting the Scientist to the Hospital
after collecting 2 Medical Supplies and 3
Antidotes. The Scientist must be equipped by
a survivor at all times. If you are on the same
square as another survivor, you can freely
trade the Scientist like any other Scavenge
card. As soon as you get the Scientist to the
hospital with the supplies and end that turn
without dying, you win.

Boss Setup: Without looking at them, draw


9 cards from the monster deck, add the Boss
card to them and shuffle. Place those 10
cards at the bottom of the monster deck.

4. nuclear winter 3
Difficulty: Normal
The bombs struck without warning. All
of the major cities were turned to ash in
minutes. Winter is around the corner and
we’re not going to make it if we don’t stock
up on supplies and hole up somewhere safe.

Objective: Collect 3 fuel, 2 blankets and


2 stacks of old newspapers. Return these
supplies to a Shelter and destroy all monsters
currently following the survivors. When
all players are safe in the Shelter and all
monsters have been destroyed, you win.

Boss Setup: Without looking at them, draw


9 cards from the monster deck, add the Boss
card to them, and shuffle. Place those 10
cards at the bottom of the monster deck. M
5. defuse the bomb 3
Difficulty: Normal
There are rumors going around about a bomb
locked in the Power Plant about to go off and
send the whole reactor up in a blaze. Apparently
it’s locked up in an authorized personnel sublevel
of the building. There’s a dusty journal lying
around written by an old employee that should
help us get in. We need to stop this!

Objective: Find the dusty book then proceed to


the Power Plant. Spend 2 actions to disarm the
bomb. After disabling the bomb, you have only 3
rounds to get back to the van.

Setup: Place an objective marker on a tile at least


5 tiles away from your van. When you reach this
tile, acquire the dusty book and draw the Boss
card.

6. Nuclear fallout 3
Difficulty: Normal
As we drove off, we saw the mushroom cloud in the
distance. Distracted, we sideswiped an abandoned car
and our van came screeching to a stop. We have to get
out of here before the radiation kills us all!

Objective: Collect 3 spare parts and fix the Van so that


you can escape. As an action, you can play a spare
parts to repair the van. The van must be repaired three
times. Whenever a 7 is rolled during the monster
spawn phase, reveal a tile on the outer edge of the
map. When a 7 is rolled and all outer edge tiles have
been revealed, remove a tile from the outer edge.

Map Setup: Place the Van in the center of your map.


Be sure to build your map outwards from the Van.

Boss Setup: Without looking at them, draw 5 cards


from the monster deck, add the Boss card to them,
and shuffle. Place those 6 cards at the bottom of the
monster deck. M
7. Plot alien movement 4
Difficulty: Hard
Our military was no match for the aliens. If they
think we’re just going to roll over after they
destroyed our civilization, they don’t know what
it means to be human. Let’s recon the area so
we know the best spot to strike for maximum
damage.

Objective: Reveal all map tiles and get back to the


Van with enough fuel to escape.

Boss Setup: Place an objective marker on a map


tile of your choice. The player that reaches that
tile first draws the boss card.

8. intel recovery
Difficulty: Hard
One of our scientists managed to hack in and steal
information from the alien mothership. We recently
lost contact with him. We need you to check out his
last known location to see if he’s alive, be sure to take a
book to record whatever he has to say.

Setup: Place the Military Base tile face up. Place an


objective token on a map tile at least 5 spaces from the
base. Set aside the Scientist scavenge card. The player
that reaches the objective draws the boss card.

Objective: Reach the objective marker and return to


the Military Base with our intel. When the Objective
marker is reached, roll a stealth test. If you succeed,
the Scientist is alive and can be rescued by spending an
action to pick them up. If you fail and have a book, you
jot down the intel as he takes his last breath. If you fail
and don’t have a book, you lose.

9. Humans Strike back
Difficulty: Very Hard
With the intel you’ve recovered, we’ve been able
to map the alien neural network controlling their
mechs and drones. Our team of scientists have
written a virus that will take them out. We’ve
shot down an alien ship and need to get our team
there to upload the virus.

Objective: Destroy 2 alien transmitters then get


the Scientist to the alien Crash Site to upload our
computer virus.

Setup: Place 2 objective markers on any 2 tiles .


These represent the transmitters. You can destroy
a transmitter by taking an action. Pick a player to
start with the Scientist card equipped.

Boss: Shuffle two boss cards into the monster


deck. A
10. convoy 6
Difficulty: Hard
The robots continue to kill or capture any humans
that they come across. Our resistance must
continue.

Setup: Place the Van and Military Base tile face


up on opposite sides of the board. Place 3
objective markers at least 2 spaces away from
one another on the map. The Players start with 4
total fuel to be carried however they like between
them. The first player to reach each objective
marker triggers the following:

Marker 1: Collect 3 Spare Parts and 2 Medical Supplies


Marker 2: Draw the Boss Card, Collect 3 Blankets
Marker 3: Collect 2 Fuel and 1 Medical Supplies
(These supplies do not come from the Scavenge Decks)

Objective: Get back to Base with 6 Fuel, 3


Blankets, 2 Medical Supplies and 2 Spare Parts. R
11. protect the base
Difficulty: Hard
Thanks to your supply run, we have a team
working on some homemade bombs, but robot
strike forces are patrolling the area in search of
our base. Destroy these strike forces and return
to base so that we can mount a counterattack.

Setup: Players start at the Military Base tile


and DO NOT draw Monsters at the start of the
mission. Place 3 objective markers at least 3
spaces away from each other and the Base. Place
3 monster tokens on each of the tiles with an
objective marker. Shuffle the boss card into the
bottom half of the monster deck.

Objective: Clear the 3 objectives. Once all


monster tokens are clear, remove the objective
marker. Return to the Military Base and kill all
remaining monsters in front of players.

12. burn robots burn 3
Difficulty: Very Hard
It’s time to teach these calculating machines a
lesson. We’ve located 3 high value targets that
must be destroyed for the Resistance to be able
to regain control of this region.

Setup: Place 3 objective markers on the map.


Each marker should be at least 3 spaces away
from one another. After the marked tile has been
visited by a player, any player may spend an
action to destroy that location and everything on
it. Be careful not to destroy your route back. The
boss card should be shuffled randomly into the
deck. Place an additional boss card on the bottom
of the deck.

Objective: Destroy the 3 marked tiles and return


to the van with enough fuel to escape back to
base. R
