Job description :

 Performs initial assessment and completes required documentation within


organizational standards, Create and implement effective care plans and Carries
out physician orders.
 Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress.
 Document medical records within a stipulated time as per protocol.
 Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
 Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
 If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors.
 Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit.
 Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient.
 Answer nurse call systems and notify appropriate personnel when and as
needed.
 Communicate with doctors and patients to keep everyone updated on test
results and treatment recommendations.
 Assist in the care of traumas, cardiac arrests, strokes, and other triage
situations.
 Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
 Orients and mentors new staff members.
 Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds,
monitors vital signs.
 Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives,
continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or
infection control standards.
 Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 Monitor, record, and update patient vitals to note any significant health
changes.
 High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that
includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
 Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as
evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve
optimal patient outcomes.
 Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
 Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate.
 Assist physicians and healthcare teams in providing health care services to the
patients.
 Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient
outcomes.
 Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to
ensure continuity of care after discharge.
 Collaborates with ancillary support services to provide a safe, clean and secure
environment for patients.
 Provides process-related input for patient care services to the seniors. And
works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management
of patient care.
 Participates in quality assessment and improvement, including utilization and
promotion of familiarization with quality improvement standards and
programs.
 Fosters good public relations for ICU and the Hospital.
 Maintains a professional appearance and acts as role models to the staff.
