Work Instructions

Device Name: Surface Roughness Tester


Model: Taylor Hobson surtronic 3+

Steps:
1. Place surface roughness tester on smooth table.
2. Press ON Key to initialize the device.
3. Press set key along with Functional keys [∆] for making
selection related to measurement conditions and evaluation
parameters.
4. Adjust Cut off length LC according to the table no 1 [EN ISO-4288]

5. Calibrate Surface tester with reference specimen [Type-112/1534].


6. Place your work-piece on smooth and flat surface.
7. Adjust cut off length LC according to the surface need to be
measured.
8. Place PICK UP stylus point on the surface need to be measured.
9. Press start button to initiate the process.
10. Wait till stylus complete its Traversing length.
