Guide-lines for Road Cut Permission


1. Any Person/firm/department seeking to have a road cut in any road shall approach
to the concerned R&B division. Through a written/online application.
2. Only after obtaining the proper permission from the competent authority, the road
cut as per the permission will be executed.
3. Road safety and precautionary measures shall be done as per _______
4. The following information shall be uploaded/attached with the application for road
cut permission:
a) Route and alignment of the proposed road cut.
b)Google site plan
c) Detailed cross section of manholes
d)Typical cross section of road in various stretches.
e) Measures for protection of existing infrastructure.
f) Furnishings of as-made drawings of the road cut.
5. The applicant shall get clearances from the following departments
a) DC of the District
b) PHE, Revenue Department, IFC and other concerned departments.
6. All work shall be executed by the contractor under the guidance of the concerned
engineer of R&B.
7. The applicant shall deposit money to the R&B department before doing the road cut
for restoration of the same by R&B.
8. The applicant shall mention all the details of utilities affected by the road cut.
