PLATE #2
Subject/Project Title: PROPOSED 1.2-HECTARE WATERFRONT ESPLANADE
Date Issued: 10 October 2023 12:00PM
Due Date: 14 October 2023 5:00PM
   I. Project Title
Proposed 12,000 square-meter Waterfront Esplanade within your chosen site along the shoreline.
   II. Statement of the Problem
As part of the given Major Plate 2: Urban Redevelopment, the designer is tasked to conceptualize and
provide a world-class Esplanade adjacent to any body of water chosen by the designer. The Esplanade
will provide facilities for sustainable activities such as water recycling and treatment, utility areas,
promotes safety and security, as well as providing sustainable activities that will not affect the adjacent
body of water. The designer is expected to provide stellar output as this Esplanade will be the distinct
landmark and a major public space for the users to enjoy.
The designer needs to complement the project to their chosen site, as this will be included in their
respective Major Plate 2 development. It is expected to consider each location’s cultural
              appropriateness, identity and distinct character.
   III. Project Site Feature
The Project site is an inside lot with 120-meter frontage facing the appropriate orientation, based on the
chosen site. The project site is large enough for the proposed project development, but the proposed
building/ structure will consider front setback requirements in the front of 24meter (RROW) Road right of
way opposite to the body of water.
   IV. Design Objectives
              • To plan/design the project that will showcase the latest technology and modern Architecture.
              • To plan/design the project considering cultural activities and mixed-use occupancy.
              • The project should consider international standard.
              • The project will be the Architectural landmark of the country.
   V. Design Philosophy
“Sustainable, efficient and resilient architecture for the community”
   VI. Space Requirements
All space requirements are up to the designer since this plate will also be implemented and designed for
the Major Plate 2 of the class. These requirements, however, must follow these aspects and as basis for
              grading:
