Are you looking for Free Halloween Crochet Patterns? Why not try making a crochet bat!
This Crochet Bat Pattern Free is not only enjoyable to make, but it’s also perfect for both
advanced crocheters and beginners alike. With just a few materials, you can create your very
own wickedly charming bat that can be used as decorations or given as a unique gift.
To get started, gather the necessary materials: black and white yarn, a crochet hook, and
stuffing. It’s important to note that you can use any type of yarn you prefer, whether it be
chunky or thin, as long as you adjust the crochet hook size accordingly.
Begin by creating the bat’s body, using basic crochet stitches such as single crochet and
double crochet. The pattern will guide you through the process step by step, ensuring you
don’t miss a stitch. Once the body is complete, it’s time to move on to the wings. They are
crocheted separately and then attached to the body, adding dimension and character to your
finished creation.
Another main feature of this bat is its crocheted eyes, which give it a unique look. To crochet
the eyes you will need embroidery floss and crochet hook size 1.00 mm.
One of the great things about this pattern is that you have the freedom to make it your own.
Feel free to experiment with different yarn colors to add a unique touch to your bat.

Gauge and Measurements
Work 10 sts and 10 rows in sc measure 3,5 x 3,5 cm (1,37 x 1,37 inches). Made from listed
yarn on a 2.50 mm crochet hook, the finished toy measures approximately 5.90 inches (15
cm) tall not including the ears.
Good to know Before your start
Most of the pieces start with a magic ring. You don‘t have to join each round with a slst,
except the patterns calls for it. You crochet in rounds most of the time.
All amigurumi toys are crocheted with tight stitches. If you tend to crochet loose, use a
        smaller hook size than recommended.
Stuff details very tight as you go. Stuff amigurumi as tight as you can. A chopstick or a
pencil helps you to spread the stuffing into every corner.
There is a chance that you will lose the beginning of the round, to avoid this mark the
first stitch of a round to keep track of where the round begins. It can be a colored pin or
        thread.
Change to a new color by finishing the last step of the last stitch of the old with the new
yarn. Your next stitch will be the first stitch of the new color.
Ears
                                                                                                      3/14

Eyes
The eyes are crocheted with 1 mm hook and embroidery floss in black, green and white
color. You can use any other color instead of green. Embroidery floss is a loosely twisted 6-
strand thread. We need to use only 3-strand thread.
Tip1: If you have any eyesight deseases you can use dark grey instead of black, and
magnifying glass. Also you can try to take 4-strand thread and 1,5 mm hook.
Tip2: change the color at the last step of the last stitch of the previous color.
                                                                                                10/14
Tip3: lay the loose ends from one color changes across the tops of the stitches of the
previous row. Then, using the new color, work the stitches in the current row and encase the
end.
Start with 3-strand thread in black color.
