1967 1971  Jai Narayan Vyas opposed the inclusion of
'Ram Rajya Parishad' in the Congress. After
which Mohan Lal Sukhadia defeated Jai
Narayan Vyas by 8 votes in the vote of
confidence and became the Chief Minister of
Rajasthan.
 The Rajasthan Zamindari and Biswedari
Abolition Act-1959 was passed during his time.
 He was also the Governor of Tamil Nadu,
Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.
 He is also known as the "Maker of Modern
Rajasthan".
 Became Chief Minister at the age of 38 which is
the record of becoming the Chief Minister at
the youngest age.

party in a state took place in Rajasthan on 06
November, 1954 in which Mohan Lal Sukhadia
defeated the then Chief Minister Mr. Jai
Narayan Vyas.
7. Sh. 09-07- 11-10-  Jodhpur resident Barkatullah Khan died of a
Barkatullah 1971 1973 heart attack on 11 October 1973 in his office.
Khan  He was the Chief Minister during the Indo-Pak
war of 1971.
8. Sh. Hari Dev 11-10- 29-04-  8 consecutive times MLA from Banswara.
Joshi 1973 1977  He was the Governor of Assam, Meghalaya
and West Bengal.
 Journalism University in Jaipur is named after
him.
 The only MLA in the entire country who won
the first ten assembly elections continuously.
 He was the Chief Minister of the state at the
time of Emergency in the country.
 He was Chief Minister three times but could
never complete the term.

 Elected as MP for the first time at the age of 25
years and three months. Became the youngest
MP in the second Lok Sabha.

 The first general election was held in 1952, in which four women participated, all four lost
the election.
 By-elections were held in the period of first assembly elections 1952-57 in which Yashoda
Devi was elected from Banswara (General) constituency in 1953 and reached the assembly.
She got elected from the Praja Socialist Party.
 The second woman in the by-election to the first assembly was Smt. Kamla Beniwal, who
was elected MLA in 1954.
 Maximum number of women participated in the 2018 elections.
 The maximum number of women MLAs were in 2008 (28) and 2013 (28).
