ACR-sdes Bsp-Encampment 2023

The Sto. Domingo Elementary School conducted a 2-day school-based joint Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts encampment from May 24-25, 2023 with over 200 scouts and adult leaders in attendance. The objectives were to train the Boy Scouts according to scouting ideals and principles and refresh the skills of teachers, scouts, and leaders for upcoming activities. Scouts participated in an opening program, competitive games between troops, cooking contests, and a boodle fight meal. They displayed skills in cooperation, collaboration and preparation. The encampment aimed to sustain the growth of scouting and concluded with an awarding ceremony and clean-up activity.

III. OBJECTIVES  Train our Boy Scouts according to the Ideals, Principles
of Scouting
 Refresh the teachers and scouts on the needed training
to be prepared for incoming scouting activities.

V. ACTIVITY The Sto. Domingo Elementary School conducted a School-Based
DESCRIPTION Joint BSP-GSP Encampment last May 24 to 25 , 2023 with the theme,
“Sustaining Growth”.
In line with this there were 232 scouts together with 17 adults leaders.
Started with the opening program where Miss Christine Chelo P.
Gabriel, the Assistant School Principal gave her warm welcome to
every scouter delegated from Twinkler, Kid, Kab Scouts, Star scouts,
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
The scouters joined, cheered, yelled and enjoyed during their different
presentations at the opening. The talents and wits of the scouters were
uncovered. Those quiet in class showed how active and talented they
were during the games and hataw activity.
The Boy scouts exerted their enthusiasm and energies as they compete
by troop on the different games and obstacle challenge conducted with
their scout leader Mrs. Relyn R. Lucido, the BSP coordinator. While
the Girl Scouts show off their skills as they competed the fire drill
activity, cooking contest and parlor games facilitated by Mrs.
Annabelle T. Pulido, the GSP coordinator.
The scouters seemed tireless, the teachers equally energetic as they
cheered and acted like mothers to their scout.
Scouters were having fun in engaging themselves with the eat-together
boodle fight activity during the lunch. Displaying the skills of
cooperation, collaboration and creative preparation among troops.
The activity ended with the awarding of prizes and certificates and
clean-up drive activity. Satisfied and fulfilled, all scouters went home
with their hearts filled with joy and pride.
