5.1 Important Findings

● During my internship period in Pubali bank Ltd. At savar Branch, there some following
problems are identified:
● Accounting opening is very much informative, it takes minimum half an hour to fill up the
form properly. When three or four people come at the same time for account opening or
close purpose, its create a problematic situation for the relevant officer to provide satisfied
service to the client.
● For opening an account, sometimes introducer is very big problem. If a client who is new in
savar and wants to open an account, it is problem for him to arrange an introducer of SB or
CD account holder. (In some special cases Branch manager can be the introducer with
proper information and verification of the client).

● The online software of these bank named" pubali integrated banking system", sometime its
face error problem which delay time for customers.

63
● The interest rate of pubali bank is lower than other private commercial bank, for this reason
pubali bank losing their clients.
● Advertising and promotion are the weak points of the pubali bank limited. It does not have
any effective marketing strategy.
Lengthy process of issuing cheque book, pay order, Bank draft

As the largest private commercial bank PBL is operating every corner of the country providing
the baking services to different classes of customers. In modern competitive banking sector,
there one can find a branch of pubali bank.

Banks play a vital role for the development of the country; PBL ltd. has made commendable
improvement over the past years. I am feel so proud to get an opportunity to continue to my
internee in this organization. I tried to gather knowledge in general baking and summarize all the
information within the report. It will also be helpful for the organization if they carefully analyze
the problem and consider my recommendation in thus paper and take necessary actions for
correct measures.

General Banking one the main department of a bank, to take any banking services one has to
fulfill all the requirements of this department first. The relation of a banker and client depend on
the service of general banking department. General banking dept. provide optimum services to
their customers though they have some limitations. If the management of the can withdraw these
limitations positively they can attain the ultimate goal. I am sure that the experience that I get
through my internship in pubali bank will help me a lot in my future banking profession.
