Surah

This document summarizes and discusses two passages from the Quran. The first passage is from Surah 2:255, which outlines Allah's attributes of being the ever-living and self-subsisting creator whose authority and knowledge encompasses the entire universe. The second discusses verses from Surah 6:101-103, which emphasize Allah's uniqueness as the sole creator and refine the Islamic belief in tawheed (monotheism), while rejecting polytheism. Both passages strengthen Muslims' faith in Allah and awareness of his omniscience in order to guide them towards righteousness and keep them from wrongdoing or associating partners with Allah.

Surah 2:255

Theme:

These verse belogn to Surah Al Baqarah which is the longest surah in holy quran. These verse outlines
Allahs attributes which distinguish him from His creatures. The word Al Hay-ul-Qayyum Ever Living/Self
Subsisting refers to His creative and sustaining force behind His existence. His authority encompases the
entire universe. The word Kursi refers to his authority and knowledge. No one can escape his knowledge
even in the remotest parts of the universe. Allah is the sole creator and has no human weaknesses like
tiredness or diseases etc. The passage ends with with Hual Ali ul Azeem which refers to His ultimate
supremacy. The Quran says "Allah be exalted, the true king...the Lord of throne of grace."

Importance:

This verse of Surah Al Baqarah strengthens the belief of Tawheed among Muslims. It trains them to stay
away from shirk since we humans are most vulnerable to Satan. By believing in Tawheed Muslims
develop fear of Allah. Before doing a bad deed the thought that Allah is watching will always cross their
mind. Muslims usually recite the verse or ayat when they need protection of their lives or their
belongings. The Prophet said "Whoever recites Ayat ul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, nothing
prevents him from entering heaven except death."

Surah Al Anaam (6:101-103)

Theme

These three verses are a part of Surah Al Anaam. The main theme of this Surah is Allahs absolute
uniqueness. These verses were revealed to prepare the Muslims to interact with the jews and christians
living in Madinah who had corrupted the belief of Tawheed. The passage begins with the word ' Bad'i '
which refers to Allahs uniqueness and his unique attributes. He only commands 'be' and 'it so happens'.
This shows the power of Allah how he can create something out of nothing. He is the sole creator and
has the power to dispose of all affairs. He has unmatchable attributes and has no ascendant or
descendant. Quran says "Allah is He Who knows the finest mysteries."

Importance

This Surah firstly refines the belief of Tawheed among Muslims. The main objective of the surah is to
emphasize the teachings on monotheism while rejecting polytheism and paganism. Muslims are taught
to believe in Tawheed which was corrupted by misguided communities. Muslims develop a sense of
omniscience of Allah which keeps them on the right path. Quran says "Whosoever you are He is with
you" This suggests that Allah is watching everyone and is with everyone whetter they are doing a good
deed or bad. Surah teaches us our limitations regarding Allahs personification and conjuration. Thus
keeping us away from shirk
