Materials & Tools: When you see brackets, work everything in
them as a set.
Crochet hook: 2.75mm (US size C)
Example:
Sewing needle
(5sc, sc2tog) 2 times, means repeat
Blue color yarn: approx. 145m (158 yds)
everything in the brackets 2 times.
White color yarn: approx. 12m (13 yds)
Each step is separated by a comma.
Black color yarn: approx. 1m (1.1 yds)
Stuffing I recommend using invisible decrease.
Pattern can be made with sport or worsted weight
yarn. Abbreviations:
ch Chain stitch
Note:
sc Single crochet
The size of elephant may vary depending on the dc Double crochet
size of hook and yarn you use. hdc Half double crochet
st/sts Stitch/stitches
Instructions: sl st Slip stitch
I worked in continuous rounds. You may use inc Single crochet increase (2sc into 1st)
a stitch marker to mark beginning of rounds. dc inc Double crochet increase (2dc into 1st)
hdc inc Half double crochet increase (2hdc into 1st)
The number (red color) at the end of each
sc2tog Single crochet decrease (1sc over 2sts)
round is the number of stitches you should
dc2tog Double crochet decrease (1dc over 2sts)
now have.
hdc2tog Half double crochet decrease (1hdc over 2sts)
Do not join first and last stitches in round
BLO Back loops only
with slip stitch if not stated otherwise.
FLO Front loops only
When a number is followed by st, that stitch

Examples:
5sc means 1sc in each of next 5 stitches;
Sc2tog 2 times means to decrease 2
