The first thing Spring-Rice writes about is the
work that is done by the sea . The sea is very
busy . He writes that the action of the sea
plays a part in making the land that people live
on .

blowing in one area and then another . The poet
uses the words “ here “ and “ there “ to tell us
that the air blows east and west . He uses the
words “ up and down “ to tell us that the air
moves north and south as well . The air is
important because it blows “ everywhere “ and
affects many things .
