I. Essay.

10 points each

1. Make your own definition of the word ART AND HUMANITIES

- From my perspective, all human cultures throughout history have placed a

high value on the humanities and the arts. Their research can promote
greater intercultural understanding and build the foundation for a life of
civic engagement. Additionally, they may teach you how to think critically,
behave creatively, and thrive in a world that is changing quickly. In addition,

2. How do humanities help us imagine the future?

- Based on what I have understood, the humanities are essential for

navigating both the modern world and a post-modern civilization. Some
believe that human qualities like empathy, rationality, and a desire for
general balance are crucial in reducing the negative effects of modern
technological advancements. The tendency of the human race to let instinct
be overruled by emotions at times is a drawback. As a result, regulations are
established to regulate unfavorable repercussions like crime and war. In
addition, the humanities offer a foundation for imagining the effects of new
ideas on our society, politics, and everyday lives, both positive and harmful.
People gain from them by having them prepare them for life's surprises and
challenges in advance and by providing support when they do. We can make
better decisions with the aid of the humanities.
3. Why is it important to know other languages and cultures?

- As far as our knowledge goes, because it enables us to transmit ideas,

knowledge, and even attitudes to the next generation, language is crucial to
our civilization. We would have very few memories if we didn't have
language. This is so that we can utilize words to recall experiences that we
have associated with certain terms. We would have a very difficult time
conveying dates and times if language did not exist. Additionally, because
language is a product of culture, it is a fascinating creation of humankind. It
is a feature of the peoples' way of life. Additionally, it fosters the intellectual
and literary growth of individuals. Lastly, you may be able to interact with
the foreign language on a different level when you can contextualize all this
new information. Discovering the human side of the language and how
natives communicate keeps you interested in the learning process.

4. Discuss the importance of studying art and humanities.

- According to an essay I read, the arts and humanities are crucial because
they have a direct connection to the human experience. Humanities and the
arts teach us how to think critically, observe how others live, and
comprehend how people from many cultures live and what they value. Our
perspective on life and society is widened, which makes it easier for us to
solve problems as they arise and makes us more empathetic toward one
another. Every single one of us needs the arts and humanities, and a
generation without them will lack ideas, experience, and the capacity to deal
with both personal problems and to those around them.

5. Give at least 3 importance to art to students. Discuss each importance

shortly.

- Student involvement is increased by arts education. Students have

numerous possibilities in the arts to showcase their abilities through
genuine performance. Students can enhance their self-confidence and learn
how to think positively about themselves and their education through the
arts. Positive behaviors, attitudes, and habits are instilled in students.
A favorable culture and climate are fostered in schools with the aid of arts
education. The effectiveness of education and instructors' capacity to fulfill
the needs of all children both rise when schools include the arts across the
curriculum. The prize of aesthetic education is itself. Young students
learn about grace, proportion, and beauty through the arts. Students can
look at struggle, authority, feeling, and life itself. The magic of the arts lies in
their amazing capacity to uplift us, make us understand tragedy, foster
empathy, and bring the written word to life.
