THE TYPOLOGY OF
URBAN FAÇADE TEXTURE
- Basis the Shape
T he history of building facades dates back to 807 B.C in Japan,
where wooden logs were first used as the facade material. Clay,
lime, and stone soon paved their way! Glass made inroad by 1800
Century in Europe. Pyramids of Egypt, Roman Buildings, Red Fort
in Delhi, Taj Mahal at Agra and Hawa Mahal at Jaipur, Parliament
Building and India Gate at Delhi, Gateway of India at Mumbai, and
Lotus Temple in Delhi are some of the classic examples of great
facade designs.

Typology of facades is a significant aspect of architectural design that

authenticity of the facades.
Aludecor’s Innovation and 3D
Facade
At Aludecor, we have been significantly studying the
colour, shape, design, pattern, texture and its myriad
influences on lifestyle in India. Research states, colour
and shapes are two interesting visual languages
understood by all. Hence, they are the major components
of building designs. A building environment becomes
under or over-stimulating depending on the colours and
shapes used.
Besides experimenting with the regular geometric or
organic shapes for facades, Aludecor has innovatively
ventured the three-dimensional space. Studying the
fascinating stories that has emerged out of the creative
landscape of India, Aludecor’s 3D facade designs are
perfect blend of traditionalism and contemporaries.

A rchitecture science has been derived from the geometric principles in which
the design lines are usually organized in a mental process. In this regard, the
application of geometric, organic and abstract pattern plays a significant role
in constructing a building that impacts the appearance and form of a building
facade. Keeping this in mind, each and every 3D design crafted by Aludecor has
its own visual voice that creates a new story altogether.

Unusual designs and patterns have always been the talk of the town. Be it on paper or an architecture, the yet-so-different
structures have definitely been a common topic of discussion around the globe. Keeping the same thing in mind, Aludecor has

its length is just the perfect one to be used on the façade of your spaces. The semi-regular patterns of Prismatic 3D designs will

     THE INCREDIBLE
     ART OF PERFORATION
P erforated metal cladding is an extremely efficient
approach to enliven the facade of a building that would
otherwise be a simple cubic construction. Perforated
cladding may lend depth, texture, and intrigue to a façade,
with everything from uniform circular perforations to
honeycomb-patterned latticework and mesh to three-
dimensional shapes.
Perforated cladding also serves a functional purpose. The
amount of natural light that enters the structure can be
controlled depending on the size of the perforations. Large
perforations allow more natural light to penetrate the

Sheets of ACP are typically punched or stamped
mechanically using CNC (Computer Numerical Control)
