                       LOW VOLATAGE JOINTS AND TERMINATIONS
     Application:
     Giza Heat Shrink low voltage joints and terminations are available for joining armoured/
     unarmoured single core and multi core, polymeric insulated energy cables up to 1.2 kV.
     All the heat shrinkable components are supplied in an expanded state and would shrink
     effectively on application of heat.

PRODUCTS’ MAIN FEATURES
   • High-quality lugs and connectors as per DIN standards.
   • Seamless, one-piece construction to ensure maximum conductivity.
   • Smooth surface without any form of nicks, deformations, and sharp edges.
   • Intended to be installed on circular sectorial shaped, stranded.
   • Conductor size, material, and recommended die size are marked on every
     piece.
   • Connectors are produced with middle stopper camber to ensure proper and
     equal insertion of conductors.
APPLICATION GUIDE
   • Sectoral aluminium cable conductors require pre-rounding with appropriate
     crimping dies, prior to introduction in connector or lug.
   • Hexagonal crimping is the most common type of crimp for cable lugs and
     connectors.
   • In order to achieve professional installation without over or under crimping,
     the use of the appropriate cable crimping tool is essential.
   • Follow the correct sequence of crimping.

Application:
Metal oxides surge arresters without gaps

GCA surge arresters are normally equipped with an arrester disconnector connected in series:
In case of failure of the arrester due to discharges above rated values, it disconnects the failed
arrester from the system, thereby preventing its being source of fault.
Besides, enabling the sire people to easily find the failed arrester.
The continuous operating voltage Uc as per (IEC) and MCOV (as per ANSI) differ only due to
deviations in the type test procedures.
