One of the oldest and most important

philosophical questions is "what is the purpose

of humankind?" Responses to this issue vary
widely based on philosophical, theological, and
cultural viewpoints.

From a religious perspective, a lot of belief

systems suggest that a divine entity or entities
have given mankind a purpose. For instance,
some Christians hold that God created people in
order for them to love Him, serve Him, and carry
out His will. In a similar vein, the aim of life is
frequently understood in Islam to be the worship
and service of Allah.

The concept of human purpose could be more

complex when seen from a philosophical or
secular standpoint. Certain philosophies suggest
that people find meaning and purpose on their
own by means of their relationships, activities,
and interests.
