RENE DECARTES
Our mind is unique it has the ability to recall the past and to plan everything as Decartes said , “I know
that I exist because I can think about my existence “ as a result we already aware that we exist since we
can think to ourselves that we do, there are many decision to be made in my life, and only our own
minds are capable of solving them we can think what is the best solution to overcome that situation.
even though I know that college is challenging for me, as a first year student I want to learn more things
that will be very helpful for the future since I know that I can overcome these problems and the reason is
because I believe in myself, which is the first success enhancing secret, our thoughts shape who we are
and who will become and for me I will always think that everything is possible if you trust yourself we
must believe to our own self because that is the way that we can improve our success in goal setting.
and also Decartes said “In order not to doubt the self, one must think” the reason why he thinks he
cannot doubt this belief is because if he is doubting, then he must exist, doubt is the first step in gaining
knowledge; without it, we could not progress. In our life it is important to doubt to ourself because it
helps us to face and overcome our fears, and it serve as the foundation of every faith.
-my concept of self is to believe on my self because believing to myself means having faith in my own
capabilities and its better to doubt because it can use to clarify misunderstanding in life my concept of
self relate to Decartes because he said that there is nothing but a thinking thing or mind.
- my concept of self related to the philosopher that I choose it is because I think to myself that
everything is possible because we are gifted to think and to solve any problems to our life so whenever
there are many challenges in life and we always think and uses our own mind. and also doubt relates to
Decartes because as Decartes said that doubt is the source of wisdom so doubt is very useful in my life it
gives a lot of good things that makes my life even better, and I think to myself that our mind is powerful
because we can do everything and to know what are the things that is important to our life. our mind is
capable of everything that is very useful in life so therefore I exist as Decartes said I think therefore I am
so I exist because I think of everything of what I am. I believe to myself that even if life is hard I will still
go until I reach my goal because everything will be possible if I trust myself.
