A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

1. GREETINGS

Good afternoon everyone! Good afternoon ma'am

2. PRAYER

Before we start our lesson for this afternoon


requesting everybody to please stand up for our
prayer.

(Student’s do as told)

May I request Ms. Windy to please lead the


prayer?
(Windy will stand, and lead prayer)

Before you take your sits kindly please arrange your


chair properly and pick up some pieces of paper
under your chair.

The structure of the nail are Root nail bed, nail
plate, eponychium, paronychium, and
hyponychium.

Precisely! I’m glad that you still remember our


previous topic.

activity entitled ‘’ Word Search’’. you will be
encircle the the words that you have found in the
box and I will only provide 1 minute for you to think
your answer.

So now our topic is all about The


Basic Techniques in manicure and Pedicure.
Before we formally start our discussion kindly,
please read our objectives.

When you hear the word Manicure and Pedicure,


What comes into your mind?

(Ma’am, manicure for me is a cosmetic treatment


for the fingernails and hands, and the pedicure is a
cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails.)

There are 5 steps in Manicure and Pedicure.

1. Cutting -

2. Filing - is the easiest way to shape your nails


neatly without causing splits or cracks on nails and
looks kinda fancy too.

3. Cleaning - appropriate hand hygiene includes


diligently cleaning and trimming fingernails, which
may harbor dirt and germs and can contribute to
the spread of some infections, such as pinworms.

4. Buffing - nail buffing is the act of polishing the


nail using buffers of successively finer grit in order
to make nails look more consistent and shiny. A
paste is used to fill ridges on nail surfaces.

5. Polishing- polish change is a mini manicure and


pedicure offered by almost all spa and salon. It is
simply nailed color change done on the hands and
feet.
G. APPLICATION

Since were done discussing about the Basic


Techniques in Manicure and Pedicure, lets move on
to our activity.

For your activity, I want you to find a partner,


and then perform the manicure and pedicure. I will
give you only 3 minutes to do the task.

By the way, you will be graded on the following


rubrics.

It is important to have a Manicure and Pedicure it


is because it’s the one of the best ways to keep
your nails book healthy and beautiful.

Okay, Since you've already listen and understand


our discussion for this afternoon . We will have an
activity.

IV. EVALUATION

Since i finished discussing with you the 5 Common Types of Pants. At this moment all you have
to do is to identify if you've really understood our discussion. In a 1/4 sheet of paper then direct
answer. In 5 minutes.

IDENTIFICATION

Direction: Read carefully and direct answer.

1. The most common styles of jeans in which there are two pockets in the back and two
pockets in front and a coin pocket inside the right front pocket

activities.

5. A type of pants that are typically made from a lightweight fabric and are cut in straight or
slightly tapered leg style.
