Data analytics empowers decision-making, strategy execution,
and leadership in business, but it is just a piece of the puzzle.
Surveys held by Ernst & Young and NewVantage Partners
show an increasing interest among company executives to
invest in data analytics and relevant capabilities. However,
cultural factors like insufficient data literacy and resistance to
change can hamper a company’s ability to derive value from
such investments. Organizations should take an integrated
approach to embracing data analytics if they want to take
advantage of the opportunities it presents in terms of achieving
sustainable business performance.
