OIL FILLING PROCEDURE FOR A CONSERVATOR
EQUIPPED WITH FLEXIBLE SEPARATOR
1. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED BEFORE ERECTING CONSERVATOR:
a) ENSURE TIGHTNESS OF ALL CLAMPING HARDWARE ON ALL FLANGES OF CONSERVATOR, OIL LEVEL GAUGE &
CONFIRM THAT THE OIL LEVEL GAUGE GLASSES ARE IN TACT.
b) FIT 3 Nos. GM VALVES & 1 No. DRAIN VALVE ENSURING THAT THE DIRECTION OF ARROW ON THE VALVE'S NOTES TO PLATE MANUFACTURER
BODY, POINT AWAY FROM CONSERVATOR.

c) INSTALL M.O.L.G. WITH THE POSITION OF FLOAT & ARM AS SHOWN. 1. AIR RELEASE VALVES. FOR STAINLESS STEEL

2. REMOVE THE BLANKING PLATE OF DRAIN VALVE & KEEPING THE VALVE OPEN, INFLATE THE FLEXIBLE SEPARATOR
AT AN AIR PRESSURE AS SHOWN IN THE FOLLOWING TABLE.

3. CLOSE THE DRAIN VALVE, FIX THE BLANKING PLATE AND OPEN AIR RELEASE VALVES.
4. START FILLING OIL SLOWLY THROUGH THE BOTTOM FILTER VALVE ON TRANSFORMER.

5. AS SOON AS OIL STARTS OVERFLOWING THROUGH EACH VALVE, CLOSE THE VALVES ONE BY ONE.
6. STOP OIL FILLING AFTER ENSURING OVERFLOW THROUGH ALL THE THREE VALVES AND REPLACE AIR FILLING
ADAPTER WITH SILICA GEL BREATHER ALLOWING THE FLEXIBLE SEPARATOR TO DEFLATE.
7. CONTINUE OIL FILLING AND OBSERVE THE M.O.L.G. STOP FILLING OIL WHEN THE POINTER OF
M.O.L.G. REACHES THE LEVEL CORRESPONDING TO AMBIENT TEMPERATURE.
CAUTION
ONCE THE OIL FILLING IS COMPLETED, DO NOT OPEN ANY OF THE AIR RELEASE VALVES ON THE TOP OF THE
CONSERVATOR. IF AIR RELEASE VALVE IS OPENED, AIR WILL ENTER THE CONSERVATOR AND OIL LEVEL IN
PRISMATIC OIL LEVEL GAUGE WILL FALL.

GAUGE GLASSES ARE TO BE OBSERVED PERIODICALLY TO ENSURE THAT THEY INDICATE FULL OIL LEVEL ALWAYS.
