Lord Jesus for the powerful presence of yours in this Holy Eucharist where u meet us face to face
and unite us with you. Lord Jesus today we are here at this time to thank you specially for the
wonderful gifts, for the great gifts of yours, which you have given to each one of us in the form

celebrate the birthday of our dear Sr…………….
When we celebrate a birthday we are celebrating life, our birthday was the day we took place on
the stage where the human drama is all the time being enacted. Birth is a great event and a
constantly renewed miracle, every year this great day in our life comes and brings the message
that God continue to love us and walk with us.
Everyone is gifted. Gifted in a very special way. The world is in need of the gifts of each person
on earth. Every bday is remembered for the happiest it brings. So dear Sr….. with a joyous heart
we join with u today in offering to the Father the praise and thanksgiving for the very gift of your
life. Indeed you are a precious pearl that shines because you have been hidden in the shadow of
God’s wings. As we look at your life dear Sr……. our hearts are raised in gratitude towards the
creator for creating you in his own image and likeness.

Today the theme of our prayer is “the Shadow of His Wings”

Psalm 17:7-8 says Show your marvelous loving kindness by your right hand, O You who save
those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
hide me under the shadow of Your wings. … Yes dear Sr. Nirmala today the Lord ants you to be
assured of His promises that is God is always protecting you and guarding you under the mantles
of his wings. You can never ever escape from His loving protection.

When we were a kid with our brothers and sisters and lots of kids of our age in our neighborhood,
we might love to find places to hide. We might have had some woods behind our houses, and we
might love to go back there and build a “fort” with sticks and boards. We might have hang out with
our friends and do nothing, but it might have given us that feeling of protection and security. It was
our special place where we could be ourselves without anyone bothering us, judging us, or making
us do chores. Of course, it was not safe from actual harm, but it was our own, and it felt
comfortable and secure. Yes that’s what God wants us to feel that way under the shadow of His
wings. Yes dear Sr…….God loves His people and protects them as carefully and lovingly as a
person protects his eye and as a hen protects her chicks.We read in Matthew 23:37 “How often I
wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings!”

Sr. Whether you feel like you have something to hide from or you just want a place to feel
comfortable and secure, God is there waiting for you to curl up under His wings and feel His
presence. Being in His presence gives us that sense of belonging and the pleasures that come with
that. Ps 16:11 says, “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and
the pleasures of living with you forever.” Jesus has kept you permanently under the shadow of His
wings. He chose you as his bride to live forever in His sanctuary, not to visit every once in a while
or once a year like a vacation, but to live every day, every moment under the shadow of His wings,
to have that safe place, that sanctuary. The beauty of a walk with the Lord is that He is with
you every step of the way. And before you chose Him, He chose you. He created you in
your mother’s womb and knit you together. He knew exactly what day and hour and
minute you would enter into this earth. He knew exactly what family you would be
placed in. He knew exactly where you would live and grow up. He knew exactly what
gifts and abilities He would give you. And He patiently loved you and knocked on the
door of your heart until you let Him in. He did all of the hard work for us. All we have
to do now is put our faith and trust in Him and obey His words On the day of your
Profession you have said “I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your
wings.” You have trusted in His shelter, because you knew that you are safe under His wings. Yes
dear sisters God calls us to Him, to His presence, to the shadow of His wings so that we can have
fellowship with Him, to get to know Him, to learn to trust His character.
Yes dear sisters A tree is the miracle of a tiny seed
A flower is the miracle of a tiny plant
A melody is the miracle of music
A dance is the miracle of culture
A fountain is the miracle of a mountain
A gift is the miracle of love
A pearl is the miracle of shell
And you dear Sr……. are the miracle of God because you are hidden under the shadow of God’s
wings.

FLOWER BOUQUET :

Margaretloves flowers so dearly. So she starts growing a garden in front of her house. There are
a variety of flowers in it, with different colours, fragrances, shapes and sizes. On her sister’s
birthday she wanted to present her with a beautiful flower bouquet. So she got inside the garden
and started plucking varieties of flowers. She arranged them in a beautiful vase with some artistic
sense. Big and small, all had their own special place in the vase. She poured some water in the
vase, so that the flowers may not fade away. She presented it to her sister. Sister was surprised
and delighted to see the bouquet. The flower vase looked perfect and beautiful, because the
flowers were arranged in perfect combination of colours, shapes and sizes.

Yes dear Sr……. God has created you and arranged everything so beautifully with perfect
order. The flower vase is a beautiful expression of your life. Every day you come across people
with different attitudes, ideas, likes and dislikes. Sometimes you try to segregate them
according to their quality, colour and difference. Alas! you find that your vase is incomplete and
imperfect. You often forget the plain truth that each of us is unique and special. Whether big or
small, dark or fair, we are created in His image and likeness. “No two snowflakes are alike, yet
each is beautiful. No two sunsets are alike, yet each is glorious. No two human beings are alike,
yet each has a glory; each has a beauty we must accept and appreciate. We are God’s
masterpiece, created a little less than the angels”.
Today we have same bouquet here, I request Sr. …. to make the prayer for which all will
respond All Glory to you O Lord and then come forward and presentbouque to the Lord as a
thanksgiving for your gift of life and for all the blessings that He has showered upon you..
