MINUTES OF THE GENERAL PTA MEETING

Proceedings:
I. Meeting began with a prayer and nationalistic song by multimedia.
II. The emcee, Ms. Bea Mae A. GENOBATEN , acknowledged the attendees.
III. Mrs. Ivy Ann Vergantino ,Grade 1, Adviser , delivered her welcome remarks.
IV. Reading of Previous Minutes during the PTA MEETING SY:2023-2024 given by
Mrs. Sussane C. Siarot, Faculty President
V. A roll call that was headed by Mareen O. Remeticado, a Grade 6 Adviser.
VI. An energizer was initiated by Mr. James Clyde J. Generale together with the selected
students of Grade 10 through a dance entitled Hand Clap which hyped up the attendees.

VII. Oath Taking of the Newly Elected set of PTA Officers.

She discussed about the following :
Roles and Functions of PTA Officers
Duties of PTA Officers and Board of Directors
Allowed PTA Activities
It should benefit the teachers, students and the school as a whole
Support to learners such as (Purchasing or Donating Learning materials
and School Supplies)
ICT Based that supports Teaching and Learning Process.
Hygiene kits (alcohol and mask)
Organize intervention for student learning such as BRIGADA PAGBASA
Support to school improvement
Support During Brigada Eskwela
Donate School Sports Facilities for Entertainment and Sports Activities
IX. FACULTY TIME
1. Mrs. Vianney B. Camacho have shared the School Calendar for SY:2023-2024
to the attendees. She highlighted the Activities to be done in every month.
Aside from that she also highlighted the Regular Holidays for the whole year
round.
2. School Rules and Regulation shared by Ms. Bea Mae A. Genobaten
3. School ID care of by Karen Jane P. Estrada
- The update of School ID was shared by the PTA Vice President, Mrs.
Marilyn S. Cano
4. PTA Voluntary Contribution care of by Mrs. Barcelisa R. Indino
- It was agreed by the majority that the contribution would be P 50.00
per parent.
5. Wearing of School Uniform care of by Mrs. Psydhee Gumaod, Faculty
Secretary.
- She emphasized the importance of wearing school uniform.
6. Stakeholders’ Support, care of by Mrs. Mayreen Remeitcado
7. Absences , Tardiness, Cutting, care of by Mr. James Clyde J. Generale, PTA
Secretary.
- He said that one of the of the factors why student fail is the
absenteeism. He encouraged the parents to monitor always their
children.
8. Teenage Pregnancies, care of by Mrs. Sussane C. Siarot, Faculty President.
- She emphasized the important role of the parents to avoid Early
Teenage Pregnancy.
9. Grade 10 Makeshift Classroom, care of by Ms. Madellyn Parilla

12. Parent’s Role in developing the Literacy Skills of the Learners, care of by

17. A roll call was headed by Mrs. Barcelisa Indino which revealed that the PTA
President of Grade 3 Sapphire was absent.
18. The election proper took place. Here are the newly elected PTA Officers:

19. After the election, the new set of officers delivered a short message
expressing their support for the teaching-learning process.
20. Other Agenda were also discussed by the Principal.

22. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm.

I. Discussion of the Roles of every Officer Positions.
Dr. Judy Tapere, the Principal, discussed the roles/functions of every officer
positions
II. Announcement of the School Calendar of Activities
The calendar of activites was presented and everyone was reminded about
the upcoming First General PTA Assembly which was scheduled on
September 22, 2023.
III. Discussion about preparations for the Sports Fest
Mr. Generale discussed the plans about the preparations for the Sports Fest
and mentioned that the sports with potential in the school are volleyball
and badminton but other options could also be Table Tennis and Sepak
Takraw.
He added that one huge problem is the unavailability of the sports
equipment.
IV. Open Forum
Dr. Judy discussed about problems inside the classroom like the variety of
attitudes and behaviors of students inside the classroom and reminded
parents to help improve the teaching-learning process by instilling values at
the home.
She also reminded to properly address concerns about school activities or
other concerns by having proper conversation with the teachers, and if
serious, then have a conversation with the guidance counselor and the
Principal instead of posting on social media.
If students have problems and they seek help from their advisers and
teachers, their concerns will be heard and proper response will be given by
the school.
Smoking is highly discouraged, especially inside the school premises.
Parents are advised to observe appropriate attire when visiting the school
and refrain from wearing informal clothing like shorts and spaghetti straps.
Student’s school ID was also discussed and Ma’am Judy advised parents to
air this concern on the upcoming First General PTA Assembly to come up
with better ideas on the provision of School ID.
