Hawaii

The islands are a state of the United States of


America. Is a volcanic archipelago located in the
Pacific Ocean made up of eight main islands.The
major islands are, from northwest to southeast,
Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe,
Maui, and the island of Hawaii. The latter is the
largest and is often called "The Big Island" to avoid
confusion with the state of the same name.
Honolulu
Honolulu is the capital and the most populous city of
the Hawaii and is located on the southeastern coast
of the island of Oahu, which belongs entirely to
Honolulu County.It covers an area of 177.2 km² and
has a population of 345 064.
Honolulu is Hawaiian for "sheltered harbor" or “calm
port”
Honolulu's favorable tropical climate, rich natural
scenery, and extensive beaches make it a popular
global destination for tourists.
The last Hawaiian
princess
Victoria Kawēkiu Kaʻiulani Lunalilo
Kalaninuiahilapalapa Cleghorn; October 16, 1875 –
March 6, 1899) was a Hawaiian royal, the only child of
Princess Miriam Likelike, and the last heir apparent
to the throne of the Hawaiian Kingdom. She was the
niece of King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani.After
the death of her mother, Princess Kaʻiulani was sent
to Europe at age 13 to complete her education under
the guardianship of British businessman and
Hawaiian sugar investor Theo H. Davies. She had not
yet reached her eighteenth birthday when the 1893
overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom altered her life.
Barak Obama

Barack Hussein Obama II is an American politician and lawyer, the 44th


president of the United States of America from 2009 to 2017, the first
person of African American descent to hold this position was born in
Honolulu, He is the only president born outside the contiguous 48 states.
Hawaii Volcanoes National
Park
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, inaugurated in 1916,
is a national park in the United States, the result of
hundreds of thousands of years of volcanism,
migration and evolution, processes that bring out a
bare land from the sea and cover it with complex
ecosystems and a particular human culture. The park
includes several habitats ranging from sea level to
the top of the highest volcano, Mauna Loa at 4,169
meters. Kīlauea, one of the most active volcanoes in
the world, gives scientists many insights into the
birth of the Hawaiian Islands, and tourists the
spectacle of its territories. The park covers 1348 km²
of land.
Wahiawa Botanical
Garden
The Wahiawa Botanical Garden, 27 acres is a botanical
garden on a high plateau in central Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, United
States, located between the Wai'anae and Ko'olau
mountain ranges. It is one of the Honolulu Botanical
Gardens, and home to a collection of tropical flora
requiring a relatively cool environment, with emphasis on
native Hawaiian plants.It is nicknamed the "tropical
jewel" of the Botanical Gardens.[1] The Garden's site
began in the 1920s, when the Hawaiian Sugar Planters'
Association leased land from the State of Hawaiʻi for
experimental tree planting. Most of the Garden's large
trees date from that era. The property was transferred to
Honolulu in 1950, and opened as a botanical garden in
1957. It is open seven days a week, from 9am to 4 pm.
