Session Topic: Teaching Phonics and Word Recognition for Successful
Decoding Skills
Session Facilitator: Aurea M. Moldez
Date: March 31, 2023
I learned from listening that it's critical to teach phonics and word recognition in the appropriate
way. It helps kids improve word-reading techniques. To improve their reading and comprehension skills,
encourage children to learn the high-frequency words that are essential.
Instruction in phonics and word identification is essential because good reading, or reading with
fluency and comprehension, depends significantly on a reader's capacity to quickly and accurately
identify printed words and then connect those words with their meanings.

Session Topic: Fuller Approach in Teaching Beginning Reading
Session Facilitator: MARIA IRIS P. INSUYA
Date: March 31, 2023
A method of teaching word recognition known as "the fuller" combines the alphabetic, phonics,
and whole approaches. There's no denying that the speaker was knowledgeable about her subject; it's
just the manner she presented it. The approach requires the beginning reader to first be proficient with
the names, sounds, and shapes of the alphabet in order to ensure that the children have a strong
foundation in reading.

Session Topic: Differentiated Activities in Teaching Learning
Session Facilitator: ELSA P. ROARING
Date: March 31, 2023
Making learning stations, using task cards, interviewing students, emphasizing various senses in
lessons, sharing one's own strengths and weaknesses, using the think-pair-share method, allotting time
for journaling, and implementing reflection and goal-setting exercises were among the activities covered
in the session. These are but a handful of the activities that were listed during the session.

Session Topic: Activities in Mathematics Teaching Using CPA Approach
Session Facilitator: MARY GRACE N. FLORES
Date: April 28,2023
Children add, subtract, multiply, or divide using actual items when adopting the Concrete
Pictorial Abstract (CPA) Approach to arithmetic. They subsequently use visual representations of the
thing, and lastly abstract symbols. Because math is abstract, children frequently find it difficult. Kids,
especially the younger ones, benefit from the CPA Approach as a result.

Session Topic: Effective Strategies in Teaching Mathematics in Primary Grades
Session Facilitator: LYN V. RANCES
Date: April 28,2023
This session has already discussed some effective math teaching strategies. The only few
techniques that can be used to teach mathematics in an efficient manner include using hands-on
learning methods, incorporating visuals, integrating math into games, connecting math concepts to real-
world situations, allowing students to explain their reasoning, providing frequent feedback and
direction, rewarding progress, and customizing lessons.

Session Topic: Facilitating Learning Mathematics through the use of
Instructional Media
Session Facilitator: JOSEFINA P. LLAMADO
Date: April 28,2023
The development of educational media opens up the possibility of direct interaction between
students and their environment. To create media, some observations are used. The students'
observation can be narrowed down to the most important details based on the teacher's IMs.

Session Facilitator: MICHELLE P. PASILABAN
Date: April 28,2023
These are some ideas of how mathematics can be effectively taught, enjoyed, and simplified.
There are a ton of creative methods to study mathematics these days thanks to social media, YouTube,
and many other tools. Play games like "shut the box," "roll and multiply," "compete at multiplication
squares," "get four in a row," and "sticky math face off in dice war."

Facilitator: LEA P. PAJALLA
Date: April 28,2023
The core components of social-emotional learning (SEL) include attitude, relationships, risk-
taking, and perseverance. Children will acquire these crucial markers when they interact with the
processes and demands of the arithmetic curriculum.

Session Topic: Collaborative Learning in Teaching Mathematics
Session Facilitator: ELAINE N. FRANCISCO Date: April 28,2023
Nearly all of the activities that our kids participate in, but especially math, MAPEH, and Araling
Panlipunan, routinely make use of the collaborative learning technique in mathematics. It encourages
cooperative learning whereby groups of students cooperate to resolve a dilemma, complete a task, or
create a product.
