If an adventurer finds himself with a lack of food while in the wilderness, they have the option of
going either hunting or fishing to obtain meat.
A Survival check with10 DC will determine whether or not a fish is caught. If a fish icon is
located within the hex the character is fishing in, the Survival check will be rolled with an
advantage. If a fish’s strength modifier is shown, make an opposing strength check to reel it in.
If a fish is caught, a d100 will be rolled to determine which freshwater or saltwater fish is
caught. If the survival check is failed, roll a d100 to determine if the line is broken or not. If the
fish rolled is over the rod’s maximum weight capacity, the rod will snap.

Each fishing rod has a certain amount of weight it can sustain without snapping. If a survival
check is failed when fishing, and the fish’s weight exceeds the maximum supported weight of
the fishing rod used, the fishing rod will snap.
When a survival check is succeeded, the character will know if the weight of the fish is too much
for the rod to handle. If the character wishes to reel it in anyways, they must roll a survival check
with a DC of 15, with a disadvantage to determine if the rod snaps.
No matter the rod’s maximum weight, a character cannot reel in a fish that exceeds their
maximum push, lift, and carry weight.

Wooden rod 10 lbs.
Bamboo rod 30 lbs.
Iron rod 300 lbs.
Steel rod Bends at 10,000 lbs.

spoil, refer to the following chart:

After killing an animal, its meat and hide may be harvested. If an animal is left dead for around 1
to 2 days, the animal will be almost entirely covered in flies, making the meat unobtainable. The
hide however, will stay obtainable for a much longer period of time.
When harvesting an animal, refer to the following list to determine how long it takes to harvest
it, how much meat is obtainable, and how long before the meat will spoil.
