Research objective:There are many benefits in online shopping such as: Better
Prices,No Crowds,Time Convenience and Zero parking struggles. Also there are
challenges like Delayed delivery,Missing product information, delivery charges or the
goods don't match the description.

Research objective1:The benefits to customers while using online shopping. Online

shopping offers numerous benefits that make it an increasingly popular choice for
consumers. Firstly, it provides unparalleled convenience. With just a few clicks,
individuals can browse through a wide range of products from the comfort of their
own homes, without the need to physically visit multiple stores. This not only saves
time but also eliminates the hassle of travelling, parking, and waiting in long queues.
Secondly, online shopping offers a wider selection of products. Customers have
access to a vast array of goods from different brands and retailers, including items
that may not be available in their local stores. This allows them to compare prices,
read reviews, and make informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, online shopping
often provides better deals and discounts. E-commerce platforms frequently offer
exclusive promotions, seasonal sales, and coupon codes, allowing customers to
save money on their purchases. Moreover, online shopping is available 24/7, offering
flexibility in terms of when and where individuals can shop. Regardless of busy
schedules or geographical constraints, people can shop at their own convenience
and have their purchases delivered to their doorstep. Lastly, online shopping also
reduces the carbon footprint. By avoiding traditional brick-and-mortar stores,
customers contribute to lowering the carbon emissions generated from
transportation and energy usage. Overall, the benefits of online shopping include
convenience, a wider selection of products, better deals and discounts, accessibility,
and environmental sustainability.

Research objective2:The impact of challenges customers face when using

online shopping can be significant and varied.

1.Security Concerns: Customers may be hesitant to provide personal and financial

information online, fearing the risk of identity theft, fraud, or data breaches. This can
hinder their willingness to shop online and result in reduced confidence in the
platform or retailer.

2. Product Quality and Authenticity: Without physically examining the products,

customers may worry about receiving inferior quality or counterfeit items. This can
lead to disappointment or dissatisfaction, potentially damaging their trust in online
shopping overall.
3. Limited Sensory Experience: While online shopping offers convenience, customers
miss out on the ability to touch, feel, or try products before purchase. This lack of
sensory experience can make it challenging to accurately gauge size, colour, texture,
or overall product experience, potentially leading to post-purchase dissatisfaction.

4. Delivery and Shipping Issues: Late or failed deliveries or damaged items are
difficult to return and refunds are common challenges experienced by online
shoppers. These issues can result in frustration, inconvenience, and potential
financial losses for customers, particularly when dealing with unfamiliar or
unresponsive sellers.

5. Lack of Personalized Assistance: Online shopping often lacks personalised

customer support and guidance. Customers may struggle to find answers to
questions, resolve concerns, or receive recommendations tailored to their needs,
which can impact the overall shopping experience and their satisfaction with the
purchase.

6. Limited Social Interaction and Community: Customers miss out on face-to-face

interactions with salespeople, the ability to seek recommendations from friends or
fellow shoppers, and the sense of community that shopping in physical stores can
offer.

Methodology

In carrying out this research, we decided to use two methods to collect our data,
mainly questionnaire. We choose this method because it is an easy way to get an answer
from the respondents and it is not time consuming. Questionnaires are used because it is most
reliable because the person will directly answer the questions. The questionnaire was
answered by teenagers and adults in our community because they are the ones being
targeted. This questionnaire consists of 35 close ended question. In order to conduct
the questionnaire the group walk around asking persons to participate. There were
some disadvantages of using the questionnaire as people were not returning the
questionnaire and some may not even take the time to answer the questions thus,
distorting the results and findings. In addition to using questionnaires we decided to
incorporate a second method of research - the internet and Google.Utilizing the
internet allowed us to access a wide range of information and gather data from
various sources. We conducted extensive online searches to collect secondary data
and explore existing studies and reports related to our research topic. The internet
also provided us with the opportunity to access news articles and statistical
databases that helped enhance the credibility and comprehensiveness of our
research. This approach facilitated a more comprehensive analysis by incorporating
both primary and secondary sources of information, enabling us to gain a
well-rounded understanding of our research subject.
