Political cartoon paragraph

In my political cartoon I created using Canva, I realy tried to push my creative boundaries and

follow the rubric as much as possible while fully developing my ideas. After looking at my

English notebook notes I took on the different fallacys, I wanted to use ad hominem as my

fallacy if choice, I think this was a logical choice as I felt confident in using it. In my cartoon, I

made two distinct panels tat both had many different colors and each featured two characters

engaged in a debate, I tried symbolizing the Israeli-Palestinian land conflict as best as possible. I

selected this conflict due to the fact my cousin is a news reporter and I speak with him on this

topic on a regular basis and how various different media platforms keep on posting about this

issue, I also hate the fact of how people keep on dying for acts theyt aren’t responsible for.

In the top cartoon ( numbered 1), I made a Palestinian and an Israeli exchange using my fallacy

of choice which is ad hominem. I think I pretty much effectively illustrated my chosen fallacy

through dialogue. I purposefully portrayee characters who fail to engage with factual or logical

points instead they say nonsense that has nothing to do with what one another is staying. I tried

my best to visually capture the use of them arguing with the use of ad hominem. I purposfely

included two olive trees in the top panel because as most of us know it’s one of the universal

symbols of peace.

In my second cartoon which is the one in the bottom , I intentionally removedthe olive trees to

realy show the contrast in the conversation and the absence of peace, and I tried asserting the

message as possible by saying, "When the debate gets personal, peace is impersonal." This

shows that the idea that personal attacks completely remove and cut all brides and the path to

peace.
Political cartoon paragraph

The focal point of the cartoon lies in the dialogue bubbles, which serve as exaggerated words of

the characters. Within these bubbles, the characters tried addressing the issue but failed to do so.

Instead it ended in personal attacks, I think this perfectly depicts my chosen fallacy which is ad

hominem. I think by showcasing how individuals attack eachjother rather than trying to solve the

issue, I was able to effectively portray how the use of ad hominem was important in my political

cartoon because it impacted immensly thhe reasoning on conflict resolution.

Overall I think I did well because I was able to mix real life situations and I was able to reach my

goal of correctly using ad hominem because it’s often used to show how the media and

politicians often engage with topics on platforms like social media. Another point to why I

believe my cartoon demonstrates this fallacy through the cartoons dialogue, is how I was able to

showcase how one party trys to use arguments to talk about ones intelligence
