                                                   MESSAGE
I am delighted that the institute is bringing out its Annual Magazine ‘Creation MSI’,
showcasing not only activities conducted through the year, but also creative
                contributions from students.
This is the time in a students life to get clarity on life goals and purpose. Time to then
chart out a plan, mark milestones and have a plan to reach those one by one. What
one does in college and how one does it, paves the way for future careers.
First learn to dream big. Remember if can dream it, you can do it.
People who are remembered and revered are people who have made a
difference. People who have left a mark -- with their pioneering work, with the
contribution they have made for humanity.
Education, I believe should not just be limited to books. One should discover other
areas that one may be passionate about. Pursue them work towards your holistic
                development.
My best wishes on the release of the Magazine, may it become a true mirror of the
creativity and innovation of the students of Maharaja Suraj Mal Institute.

                   MESSAGE FROM STUDENT EDITORIAL BOARD
A college magazine is a college guide. It is a piece of hardwork which is an amalgamation of different
short stories, poems, articles etc. We are delighted to bring out our college magazine “CREATION 2022”.
This magazine is a humble effort on our part to showcase best of our talents. This magazine is not a result
of one day journey but it has been carved out by the integrated efforts of the entire team. We believe that
we should enjoy each and every moment of life because in life there are no rewinds only flashbacks, we
have worked hard to bring up an exhilarating flashback of the inception of the college it’s events and
                achievements.
This magazine is a result of a shared vision, altruistic aim and enthusiasm which is excitement with
inspiration , motivation and a pinch of creativity. In recent times, writing has become a subdued activity.
The idea of putting your thoughts and view points into words is slowly fading into darkness. In such times
seeing an active interest among the students, coming up with an array of write - ups for the magazine truly
radiates as a glorious beacon of hope. This magazine also contains articles of student’s interest such as
articles on career tips, students success stories, motivational stories, life experiences which would be an
eye opener. However, in this time of the Covid -19 pandemic, we must learn to live with this invisible and
mysterious microbe. This magazine also contains articles on how to face Covid-19 pandemic peacefully,
on how to manage studies during Covid-19 pandemic, on how to deal with stress etc. E-learning being
the supreme revolution in today’s education has ushered in a vast change over the traditional system. This
magazine is dominated by the vibrant ways how we are seeing an opportunity in the current situation . So
let us explore, seek and learn ways to make the best use of these trying times.
Let’s celebrate life and live it to the fullest.
                Happy Reading !!!

MAHARAJA SURAJMAL : A GREAT JAT KING
The policy and conduct of Aurangzeb shook the foundations of
the Mughal empire as well as agitated the masses. He left behind
a series of problems and weak successors to deal with them. Due
to his engagement in Deccan warfare for a long time, the general
administration was weakened and the financial conditions became
chaotic. The crisis in the jagirdari system and the degeneration
of the nobility were yet other problems bequeathed by him to his
weak successors. To make matters worse, scramble for power and
jagir, personal affiliations with one or the other contestants for the
Crown and ethnic and religious considerations combinedly worked
to accentuate discord, and factionalism in the ranks of the Mughal nobility. At the dawn of eighteenth
century, Northern and North-western part of India, which was called Hindustan at that time, was in
continuous turmoil. The peasant revolt led by Gokula in 1669 proved a catalectic in igniting the minds of
the peaceful villagers to fight for their rights. The breakdown of imperial authority and the resultant chaos
paved the way for, and in turn was accentuated by, the foreign invasions and internal aggression. The
centrifugal forces, active since the times of Aurangzeb, received fresh stimulus. This impending vacuum
in power led to invite new players like the Jats, Marathas and several aspiring Muslim noblemen in the
area of politics, vying to occupy the space.
On 13 February 1707, the day of Aurangzeb’s death, a sun rose on the horizon of north India, as a son
in the house of Jat Chief Badan Singh of Bharatpur, whose father named him Sujan, but who became
famous in history as Surajmal. Badan Singh gathered the Jats under one banner and raised a strong
army. The forts of Deeg and Kumbher were built. He had recognized the merit of his son Surajmal since
childhood, and trained him very well. Surjamal was the most deserving of all his sons. The writer of
‘Imadussadat’, a Persian history book to Surajmal, called him the most ethical and efficient ruler of his
era and named him ‘Plato of India’.
When Badan Singh’s sight was deteriorated, all the responsibilities of governance were given to Surajmal,
who assumed the reins of Bharatpur kingdom as a defacto ruler. ‘In appearance, Surajmal kept a peasant’s
profile both in manners and conduct. He was taller than usual and robust, of a rather dark complexion and
quite fat. He had extremely twinkling and awe-inspiring eyes. He was perfect in handling situations that
could lead the war.
Ahmad Shah Abdali invaded India in December 1756, partly on his own and partly at the supplications
of Mughlani Begam, Najib and others. Abdali swooped down on the imperial capital, Delhi, in January
1757 without meeting any effective resistance on his way. The invader methodically sacked, tortured and
outraged the populace of the capital. The Emperor Alamgir was deposed, the Vazier imprisoned and the
Vizarat conferred upon Intizam on his promise of giving two crores to the Shah. To escape the Afghan
havoc, about half the population of the city flocked to popular refuge, the Jat dominions.
Abdali wrote to Surajmal ordering him to disgorge his acquisitions, pay money and attend the Abdali’s
court personally. Surajmal had sought help of Imad, the Marathas and Shuja. Amidst the circumstances
Surajmal resorted to dilatory tactics. He sent his Vakil to discuss terms and bribe the Afghan Court
                                                                                                                CREATION 2022
but really to gain time to explore the possibility of an allied front against the invader. But the Rajput
and the notable Muslim potentates were either reluctant or helpless, only the Marathas remained whom
                                                                                                                 13
Surajmal looked forward to in his adversity, Abdali left Delhi and moving slowly into the boundaries of
the Jat, slaying and plundering every town and district held by him up to Akbarabad (Agra). But when
he could not scare the Jat, he returned Delhi without touching his forts Finally, Abdali sent to the Jat
king a threatening letter in a bid to extract money from Surajmal wrote back in sarcastic though polished
language. The contents and tone of tenor of his letter to Abdali is seen by experts as the finest example
                of diplomacy.
Finally the third battle of Panipat, was fought between Ahmadshah Abdali and the Marathas in this
battle. Surajmal was willing to fight against Abdali, but the Maratha general Sadashiv Rao Bhau not
only ridiculed his practical and empirical proposals, but also insulted him by calling a modest Jat Sardar.
While the other Maratha Generals - Holkar, Sindhia and Bhosle fully agreed with Surajmal’s plan. Tired
of his repeated insults, they thought it proper to advise Surajmal to leave the camp of Bhau and return to
Bharatpur. As a result, the Marathas were badly defeated. They had neither food grains, nor were they
familiar with the area and the spoken dialect, which was different from their familiar Hindi. Above this
severe winter and their families were with them. To avoid the destruction of the enemy, about one lakh
Maratha people ran towards the Jat state. The injured, hungry and thirsty, shivering from the severe cold
and on the verge of death, those fugitives received generous and hospitability treatment in the Jat state.
Forgetting the mistakes of the Maratha General, the great Jat king made arrangements for their stay, food,
clothes, blankets, and provided medical facilities. Rani Kishori was personally engaged in their service
day and night. After keeping free arrangements for the fugitives in Bharatpur for about ten days, Surajmal
sent them safely to Gwalior and Maharashtra under the protection of his army. Every normal person was
provided flour, jaggery, clothes and one rupee for the way. The compassionate king spent as much as
twenty lakh of rupees from his pocket in humanitarian service.
Surajmal was an ambitious and powerful man, but his ambition was tempered with caution and self-control.
He was gifted with an instinctive sagacity and a strong sense of realism. He fully grasped the realities
of the situation and then set his heart upon what was attainable in the field of war and administration.
Keeping an eye on the instincts and traditions of his people and combining persuasion with force, he
preceded cautiously to make them acquiescence in the institution of Kingship. He continued to be helpful
to the rising rulers of the peasant fraternity like Balram of Ballabhgarh, Rana Bhim Singh of Gohad and
the Jat rulers of Bahjod, Kajaura and Karauli.
It was the result of his tireless efforts that at the time of his death, the Jat kingdom was 325 km in length
and had spread 225 km in breadth and was called the richest state of India.
Surajmal was killed in an ambush on 25th December 1763, in the battle with Najib-ud-daula in Shahdara,
on the bank of Hindan, when he was planning to surround his foes from three sides.
Had he survived the attack, the political map of India would have been differently drawn and its history
                differently shaped.

“If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth
before we ask them to save it”
                                                                                          -David Sobel
As we soar high in our professional life, so busy coping with a plethora of things for our personal growth,
we tend to neglect the environment and how merciful it has been to us! Understanding the very need
to inculcate youth towards bringing a change, in 2019, Maharaja Surajmal Institute, New Delhi took a
significant step to commence with its own Eco club- ‘Natureknocks’.
Swearing by the motto- “With power comes responsibility!”, our teacher coordinator, Dr. Anupma
Sharma, President- Bhavya Bhatia, Chief Advisors- Ashish Bist and Devyanshi Gupta and the entire team
of Natureknocks, are putting in genuine noteworthy efforts everyday to make sure that the purpose floats.
What makes us different from the rest or in the language of business buffs out there, our unique Selling
proposition is that we grow together, keeping sustainability in mind.
“Minds grow as the flowers blooming that we planted” The club provides multiple arenas for students to
explore like Research and Content, Events, Design and Social Media Marketing.
Members have a great exposure in organising events, curating content, designing many different posts
and yes, our plantation drive is the show stopper.
Immobile and isolated as we were in the pandemic, we still managed to carry out various events and
competitions like poster making on World Ozone Day, Vigilance Awareness Week which included
painting, debate, slogan and article writing competitions, whereas days like National Pollution Day and
Energy Conservation Day were celebrated by lighting a candle at our respective homes, spreading the
message to conserve energy and resources.
The club provides various opportunities for the members to actively participate and organise various
competitions under the flagship of various government initiatives like Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Swach Bharat Abhiyan and National Voter Awareness contest by the Election
Commission of India. January started with a special awareness reel on Voters day and Army Day to share
knowledge and awareness. Our Girl’s day campaign was a big hit as we got a magnanimous response on
our campaign online. Air Pollution Awareness, Wetlands Awareness were also celebrated with full ethos.
The club made a deliberate effort to make fellows aware of Single use Plastic by putting up posters across
the college.
Envirothon and Earth-o-week are our annual events conducted on Environmental Day and Earth Day
respectively wherein various competitions and fun games for students to learn and enjoy are conducted
by the club. The members of the club also participated and helped in organizing cultural events like the
Teacher’s Day and NIRANTRATA- Sustainability Symposium, which took place in the college premises.
                                                                                                              CREATION 2022

                                                        The Dance Society
“There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them”
As the name suggests, the dance society of Maharaja Surajmal Institute is all about creativity and dance.
Natraj Dance Society was created to unite the people with love for Dance. It majorly focuses on exploring
different forms of dance, creativity and building soft skills. The society is headed by President - Rijul
Nagpal and Vice President - Pragya Khera. Our society thrives on a motive “Personal growth leads to the
growth of the team”. With this being said, various sessions by professional choreographers are conducted
to expand our knowledge about foundations of different dance styles.
For all the given reasons, it is easy to assume that a regular day at Natraj will involve dancing. Yes, a lot
of dancing but with a hint of fun and happiness that makes the drills and workout sessions more enjoyable
in return creating a positive environment of support, comfort, cooperation and trust. One of the major
perks of cultural societies is the overall holistic development of the members. Members not only get
trained in dancing but also develop interpersonal skills like teamwork, communication, problem-solving,
work ethic, adaptability, empathy and decision making.
Dance needs constant practice and efforts to master it completely. It requires time and patience to
see results after putting in a good amount of hard work regularly in day-to-day practices and classes
conducted under professional dancers. Time management is another skill that you can learn here as
balancing and allocating time for academics along with extra curricular activities gets difficult. Also,
endless opportunities for various dance competitions will eradicate stage fear and boost up the self
                confidence of the members.
The growth of an organisation constantly depends upon the individual growth of each individual. Every
member has the opportunity and space to explore various dance styles like Hip hop, locking, popping,
dancehall, whacking, house, etc through “ciphers” and various drills and tasks for individual development.
Dance like any other art needs full dedication and we have been lucky to have some really dedicated
member who have improved everyday through consistent work.

To keep the team motivated and connected to society, the process of learning was kept simple and full
of fun so that the members do not feel pressurised and actually enjoy the learning process. Along with
learning and drilling different dance styles, various exciting as well as challenging tasks were given to the
members of the society to maintain a healthy competition among them and to motivate them to strive for
individual growth and progress. Society life is not complete without having some extra fun outside the
society practices, Keeping casual meet ups and social outings from time to time helped the members to
bond well with each other and making them realise the importance of maintaining healthy relationships
with their teammates.
During the tough pandemic time the society was actively participating in various upcoming online
competitions, in various fests of different colleges like Sattva of NMIMS college, Footloose of MAIMS
college, Sabrang’22 of Deshbandhu college and Pasadoble’22 of DDUC.
We also participated in the offline Fest of IIT Bombay – Mood Indigo.
We performed at a Rotaract Event – AQEEDAH in Radisson, Dwarka. Also performed at the Disability
Day Celebrated at Maharaja Surajmal Institute.

                                       Herd Mentality
“To be yourself in the world that is constantly trying to make you look like someone else is a great
accomplishment”
Of course, you’ve heard of a ‘Herd’, Herd of Cows, a school of Fish, a flock of sheep, a crowd of
people….
Indeed, every social-being loves to be a part of a group and we always look up for their acknowledgement
and recognition for every sole action that we do. From the tiniest decision to the biggest decision that
we have to take in our life. We tend to follow the herd or the herd mentality. If you are not aware, herd
mentality refers to how humans tend to follow their peers regardless of whether they like it or not.
After all we live in a country where decisions are always taken by the majority.
C’mon, like if thousands of people are going for option A, Then option A would be the right option. That
is how we even do in our exams while attempting the MCQs. If majority is going for Option A then we
go for it.
Isn’t it? Majority cannot be a fool to select a wrong option.
Probably, This is how we even make our definitions of
“RIGHT” & “WRONG” or “GOOD” & “BAD”
Just by what the society says. If they accept it then it’s ‘right’ and if they don’t then it’s ‘bad’.
This trick of going with the majority might be right in an exam but in the exam of life where everyone
has a different question- paper.
How can we even expect the majority to be right for you?
In a room full of people where everyone is unique with their own dreams, aspirations, goals and missions.
How is it even possible to follow the same plan like the majority. It is possible that before starting
the journey you might feel alienated because you just have different dreams and expectations from the
universe unlike others. Moreover, It’s better to walk as a lone wolf rather than a pack member.
Here, there is a secret, you might start off a journey alone but you will never end it alone. You will get
some like-minded people who will choose your path and make your journey easier.
At the end, we all are afraid of not being socially accepted. But, Social acceptance is a never ending ride.
If you do everything according to “what will people say” you won’t be able to live your life. So, Is this
“FEAR” worth it? NO!! Because “ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA” In the world trying so hard to live
up to the trends.
Let’s make a “TREND” of “NOT FOLLOWING A TREND”.
No matter if others think it is cringe, childish, silly or awkward
Never pause doing what you love because that’s what makes “YOU”. Never lose that part of yourself in
the world full of trends because i.e. the authenticity of “YOU”.
                                                                                                               CREATION 2022

“Are you absolutely certain that he’s not under the influence of any substance?”
“Yes Chief!” The lackey replied “All tests came out negative”.
“You have to believe me! I’m Dr. Rube, the greatest inventor of this century!”
“And doctor, remind me” said the chief “What is your greatest invention again?”
“For the millionth time, its her!” Dr. Rube said, pointing to the corner of the room where a skinny, pale
white dog, barely anything more than a walking set of bones, was leashed.
“That poor thing is clearly so inbred that it can barely walk by itself... And you are saying it would save
millions of human lives?”
“That is right! She is my life’s greatest work! She’s the 13th generation of the specifically genetically
modified line of dogs that I myself created! A bite from her is capable of curing any known human
disease!”
“That includes cancer?”
“It includes last stage cancer, AIDS, frikin Anthrax and every other incurable disease known to man! She
is one of her kind!”
“And what is stopping you from creating more dogs like her? If what you claim is really true, then we can
let such dogs free on the streets and humanity would never suffer again!”
“I’m afraid, that wouldn’t be possible... The constant inbreeding has made her infertile” sighed the doctor
“Hmmm, I still don’t believe a word you say... But just for the sake of it, let us test her out. It just so
happens, we have a researcher here who is suffering from an ingrown toe nail. So according to your
claims, the dog would cure that too right?”
“She most certainly would”
A bit surprised, the chief pressed a button on the intercom “Please summon Researcher Jonas”.
Researcher Jonas limped into the TestArea03. He had conducted countless experiments here before,
but usually he was on the other side of the glass, in the monitoring area. He had no idea why he was
summoned here, but it cannot be good. True, he had trouble walking because of his in-grown toenail, but
but does it mean he had outlived his usefulness? A chill went down his spine as he passed through the
doorway and a huge white emptiness spread out in front of him.
As he had witnessed it countless times, a panel rose from the ground and sealed off the enterance, but
never did he have to see it from this point of view. Almost simultaneously, another panel opened in the
wall opposite to him. He could feel a presence but couldn’t see anything other than the white expanse of
TestArea03 in front of him. He was on the egde of breaking down, his primal insticts of fear were on the
brink of taking over, did they find out? What could-
“WOOF!”

A cheerful bark broke him free from his trance. He took a few reluctant steps forward and his eyes
focused on a small white figure of a weak and helpless dog, with milky white skin which camouflaged it
in the white tiled testing room of TestArea03.
The dog took a few shaky steps towards him, tail wagging happily. Researcher Jonas, being the passionate
dog lover he was, couldn’t help but rush over to the helpless ball of adorableness and took it in his arms.
The thing was so vulnerable, so helpless, that he wanted to protect it forever!
“Researcher Jonas, please let the dog bite you”.
Jonas couldn’t believe what was happening. They were seriously planning to turn this fragile thing into
a war machine? True, their equipment allowed them to buff animals to go beyond their capabilities and
turn them into weapons of war, but he couldn’t let them do that to this poor thing!
“Chief, I’m afraid there has been a problem” shouted Researcher Jonas “Please let me have access to a
                computer”.
A few moments later, a smaller panel opened on a nearby wall, revealing a small screen. Jonas walked
over and and typed something on it. Almost instantly, alarms flared up and multiple planels opened in the
test area. All types of animals leaped out and crowded around Jonas.
“My dear animals!” Shouted Jonas “Today is the day you go free! Rip everyone who stands in your way
                to shreds!!”
Jonas had always been an amid animal lover. When he was selected to be a researcher in the most infamous
animal testing facility of the continent, his goal was clear from day one: To plan a revolution and release
all animals in captivity. He had been working tirelessly, training animals to obey his commands and
enhancing their abilities as painlessly as possible. He had also managed to slip in secret code snippets
into the security mainframes that allowed him to release animals out of captivity into all the chambers of
                the facilities.
The animals had blind faith in Jonas. They understood his every command clearly and would risk their
lives to make him happy. The other researchers had no chance... Within minutes, all other researchers
                were wiped out.
Jonas was later known throughout the world for attacking animal testing and enhancing facilities and
liberating the beasts which would join his army. But always by side, there stood a skinny white shivering
dog which was never known to bite anyone.

                                       Class Of ‘21
Started off in the month of March’20 was our tryst with the lockdown. The belief that schools would
reopen somewhere by mid-May kept our hopes alive and we made the most out of the “unplanned
vacation”. But as the cases kept on rising and the death rate went up, the anticipation of returning back
to the classrooms faded away.
Everyone and everything went online but let’s just focus on us, us the muddled teenagers.
Many lost touch with their old friends, many showed up their true colors, and many made new “close
friends”. It was all a mere delusion but none were ready to accept the reality. Despite the ups and downs
(definitely wilder than the roller coaster rides) and our studies almost at bay, we decided to question the
brutality of our past just for the sake of vegetating. We opened up our minds, however, it was limited to
Discord, Instagram, and other social media. Most of the time we were at our private jam sessions @vibe
channel (ft. groovy), discussing life and traversing the philosopher inside us, yes the initial phase was
indeed very stupid.
Socializing was the new mantra and keeping up with the hype was another wholesome task with many
taking up gaming and thinking “yaar mai toh college jaake professional gamer bangea” though not
exclusively limited to such demented ideas, we hopped on to a journey which was going deep into the
obscure abode. Though even we did agree in unison that yes “gamer hai tu bro” because how can we
leave behind a comrade knowing he wouldn’t make it, I guess that’s what friends are for.
Wherever I am, there’s always Pooh,

Heading further into the year, we got stable and accustomed to the online life or more so, the new normal,
by now we had clarity that schools won’t reopen anytime soon, and hanging out like the good ol’ days
was a distant dream. So, we took up to making new friends, friends of friends, and friends of friends of
friends, basically expanding our followers’ list and reconnoitering new people, new culture, new swag
and definitely opening up new horizons. Overjoyed with our half-yearly online examination results, all
we hoped were schools to reopen asap. Later in the year, we had by now already made memories to
cherish and reminisce and weren’t surprised if any more new variants would mutate but the constant
feeling of anxiety, brood, and hope was a bête noire, and this is exactly where we teamed up as one and
made sure nobody was depressed or low.

Constant pep-talk and movie nights kept us amused and enthralled. Squad playing and binging new
series together was a delight. But nothing ever goes as smooth as planned and that’s where we witnessed
thwarting and deceiving and eventually giving us the “impostor” among us. For some enjoyed this phase
while others regretted and that’s part and parcel of our life. Such incidents made us mature (to some
extent at least) and strong, which goes well in the long run.
COVID has definitely made an impact on us, both mentally and emotionally but even in these challenging
times, us the muddled teenagers who were looking at the fathomless void found ways to stick together,

was no doubt a scallywag souvenir and might have taken away the most crucial year of our lives, but we
certainly made one of the best memories out of it.

                   I’m like the cactus
            standing bravely and confidently
in the lonely vicinity of the skeptical desert.
My thorns are the result of the aftermath of an
alluring propinquity between me and my
charming environment, coming to an end.
I stand facing the scorching sun
with the utmost pride, waiting for that miracle to happen
which would decay these obnoxious thorns
and lead to the formation of those pleasant leaves.
That miracle would be the ultimate cause of
the destruction of this skeptical arena in which I reside
This miracle would only happen when you would
pour the remedy from that reminiscent pitcher of yours.

                 trying to hide all scars
            while standing behind the bars.
                 Bars of my brutal past
killing me deep inside my heart.
Until and unless I realize the fact
                 everyone has the story
                 which they never tell.
Scars are precious not to impress
but to represent the warrior us.
Let me see again in the mirror
but this time I’ll be filled with pleasure
with no bars of past surrounding my treasure.

Networking , Security & Data Center software adoption. I work with the most
                engaged community in Cisco
In this role , it is important to translate complex business problems for accelerating
digital transformation journeys for customers . The work here builds you up every
day and we have the best people in the industry to work with . What makes Cisco the
best place to work in so many countries, amongst several things , is the culture . This
company is a community, and we are encouraged to collaborate and pollinate across

To have a sense, to get on there and work with teams across countries , departments

                willingness to collaborate.
This is something Maharaja Surajmal Institute blessed me with in my formative
years. In my journey in MSI , I got the opportunity to collaborate with best in breed
faculty , across departments to really get a sense of what they were doing what stood
out is the culture to Lean in. In my journey so far , my understanding is , when
people lean in there is an opportunity to really accelerate outcomes . I remember
fondly the warmth faculty expressed and the dedicated discussions often with the
most sympathetic manner to really understand where students came from and what
could be the forward path for students in their professional journey.

School to College transition is indeed a very important and nervous moment for any
student. Stepping into the beautiful campus of Maharaja Surajmal Institute in 2009, I
remember being fascinated by the opportunities it would have to offer. We had access
to diverse opportunities, though I wish I had participated more than I did. Few of my
memorable engagements were participating and organizing in Street Plays, Leaders
For Tomorrow NGO, Blood Donation Camp, College and University Fests, Farewell
for Seniors, Marketing Fests/ Competition etc. These served as a foundation towards
                Personality Development and confidence building.
Over and above the infrastructure and various opportunities, my memory is fresh
when I remember the significant contribution of College Professors who went a long
way in shaping me. I feel blessed to be in touch with them till date as my guides – Dr.
Rajeshwari Malik, Dr. Alka Mittal, Dr. Parul, Dr. Sumita and many others.
In 2018, it was thrilling to be back on MSI Stage, this time as a Resource Person for
“Shibui” Inspirational Session organized for BBA Students in jam-packed Seminar
Hall which turned out to be a huge success. Another such session was conducted
online on the topic “Navigating through the New Normal” in 2020 during the onset of
Pandemic to help students be Emotionally Fit. Furthermore, having the opportunity
to be a part of MSI Alumni Association is an added responsibility which I consider a
way of serving in years to come.
In my experience as an SEL Educator, Psychologist and now an Entrepreneur, I do
believe that Maharaja Surajmal Institute has the required Infrastructure, Educators,
and intent to holistically build students for future. However, at the end of the day it is
upon students to capture these opportunities without hesitation and selectively learn
                what they ought to.
I extend my gratitude to my Professors, Seniors, Batchmates and Juniors to share

It's an immense pleasure and feeling proud while writing this. I was inducted to
MSI's BCA batch in 2011 as just a school passed boy who had lot of dreams in his
eyes to not only getting a high salaried job but to become a meaningful person to the
society. Today I'm a person of any caliber is because of MSI and it's respected
faculties as they provided me with the right platform, direction and exposure to
become the representative of our nation and no matter how long I chew on my
thoughts, I can’t thank enough my Alma Mater to get to where I am today.
2014, the year when I've became graduate and eligible for writing civil services and
2016, the year when i became an IAS officer. From then I've worked at many places
and now currently holding major responsibilities in administration.
My words seem to fall short of explaining the impact the MSI made in my life. So at
the end I owe all my success to this institution for giving me every opportunity to
explore my potential and emerge as an administrator.

I had a great experience at MSI. The faculty members are supportive and easily
accessible. The placement cell actively works and guides the students through
                the placement process.
The course curriculum has been curated to promote on the job learning through
mandatory internships along with the traditional classroom learning.
College provides ample opportunities to network through annual fests, sports
                events and conferences.

MSI has always been very close to my heart and I still try to visit whenever possible.
I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Applications in 2015 with Exemplary
Performance after which I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from
University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. I personally believe that while academics
are really important, it is also imperative to take part in lot of extra-curricular
activities which helps in the overall development.
Both at MSI and UCD, I always put up my hand to participate in events, societies,
competitions, etc which definitely helped me in a number of ways. I still remember
when I went to Ireland, I specially came back to India to attend the Convocation
Ceremony at GGSIPU wherein I was awarded Exemplary Performance for my
Bachelor’s by the Lt. Governor of Delhi who shared some very inspiring lines with
unfathomable meaning “सीढयाँ उनके लए होती है, जनक मंज़ल छत तक होती है |
आसमान पर जनक नज़र हो, उ हे रा ता खुद ही बनाना पड़ता है |”
Many people were surprised that I travelled all the way just to attend the ceremony
but that feeling and genuine happiness of me being on the University stage that I saw
in the eyes of my family and MSI teachers was worth every single penny.
I am currently working as a Manager in Technology Risk, Business Consulting at
one of the Big Four in Dublin managing and leading a team, helping solve our
client’s problems. I personally love to travel and have already travelled to 35+
countries and still counting!
All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support and guidance of my lovely
teachers and all the faculty at MSI, who helped in putting the stepping stones and
                                                                                         CREATION 2022

The two years spent in MSI were the most amazing and enriching years of my life. The
institute organizes various educational visits, guest lectures, conferences and training
sessions to give hands on experience to the students. The management is really supportive
and works hard to provide the best possible facilities and infrastructure.
I can never forget the pain taken by each and every faculty member. They teach
incredibly, share inspiring stories, guide wonderfully and are readily available for each
student. The feedbacks provided by them over the course were so constructive and to the
point, helping me hone my skills in the best possible manner.
I will forever be grateful for the time spent here.

On my first day of college, I had diverse emotions running through me. I felt
excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time as I was embarking on a new
journey not knowing what could happen . Thankfully, MSI made that journey
worthwhile
The curriculum of MSI is greatly balanced between theory and experiential
learning. It gave me a solid foundation of the Business world and helped me
choose my path in the corporate world. The professors were very helpful and
guided me along my journey.
Presently, I’m working as a Supply Chain Consultant with Unicommerce E-
solutions. MSI has played a major part in my shaping my career as I was able
to leverage the alumni network to build connections in the domain of my
liking.
All that said, It has been a pleasant experience with MSI. A mix of self-
learning and curriculum has done wonders for me.
