Tawheed means the oness of allah .
The greatest evidence for the existence of Allah is the
magnificent universe, the beings living in it, and the things happening in it The perfect order
and unerring system seen in the beings on the earth from atoms to stars in individuals and in all
of them is the greatest proof and the brightest evidence of oneness. If anybody other than the
Maker intervened in the divine activities and creation in the universe, that highly delicate order
and balance would be spoiled and the marks of disorder would be seen everywhere. . For
example – the human soul and the body .even the best doctors cannot explain its working .
example – adaptations of plants they can do blaa blaa blaa
Minars represent the tree
Mosque the world and everything in it like humans
Islam is termed a tawheed religion because this religion is established upon the foundation of
testimony that Allah is The One, no other deities beside Him, whether in His power or His
actions. Allah Is The One in Him self, and attributes, none resembles Him. Allah is The One in
the matter of worship, He deserves no partner, or rival. The tawheed that being the core of the
calling of the prophets and messengers of Allah has encompassed these three kinds of tawheed
(rububiyya, uluhiyya, and asma’ wa shifat).
Advantages
Tawheed has manifold benefits in all aspects of our lives. Allah says in Surah an-Nisa that He
does not forgive the association of partners with Him but forgives everything besides that. If we
understand the gravity of disobeying Allah, then we will always try out best to obey His
teachings to the fullest. When we know Tawheed, then we focus on listening to Allah’s
commands. That brings us closer to Him, which should be the ultimate aim of every Muslim.
Morals and bravery are developed
Allah has given us a lengthy list of commands. When we listen to Him and obey Him, then we
increase our share of good deeds. We always remain conscious of Allah in all situations because
He is the One and Only Lord. When we are always aware of Him and fear Him, then we refrain
from committing evil deeds. It is also stated in Hadith that good manners cause piety.
Tawheed enables us to have a content outlook
Allah says in Surah al-Baqarah that sometimes we may hate things, despite them being good for
us, and vice versa. This is because we have only a bit of knowledge. We do not have a broad
perspective of our lives. Allah has complete knowledge, thus Allahu ‘Alam (Allah knows best).
Hence, we develop contentment and see the bigger picture
It also enables us to have positivity
we don’t always know what is best for us or not, we learn to be positive about the future. Once
we let go of materialism ,we can leave the rest in Allah’s hands. A person with strong belief in
Tawheed says alhamdulillah in all situations. Allah says in Surah al-‘Ankabut that He will test
the believers. Allah also says in Surah al-Baqarah that he will never overburden us with more
than we can bear.
‘Shirk’ comes from the root word SHARAKA, which implies ‘to share or append, not singular
or one.’ It is the total opposite of (Tauheed). Shirk specifically refers to worshipping Allah with
a partner or thinking that the true source of power, damage, or benefits comes from someone
other than Allah.
What are the Types Of Shirk?
There are three different forms of shirk. Shirk ul Roboobiyyah, Shirk ul Ibadah, and Shirk ul
Asmaa are all examples of shirk.
18 – Shirk-ur- Roboobiyyah
Shirk in Tawḥīd is to accept that anyone besides Allah creates or shares control over his
humanity. This conviction implies that somebody other than Allah can make great things
happen or keep awful things from happening.
17 – Shirk- in- Ibadah
There are several types of shirk in the act of Ibadah or worship.
Islam forbids the worship of humans, animals, and idols. Sadly, some Muslims worship saints
or visit tombs to seek assistance. They do tawaaf around the graves and offer sacrifices in the
name of the deceased.
14 – Shirk in Al-Asmaa Was-Sifat:
This type of shirk includes two things one is the common practice of giving Allah the attributes
of His own creation, and the other thing is the act of giving created beings Allah’s names and
attributes.
It was stated by the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) that all of the sins except polytheism would be
forgiven, that the believers would definitely go to Paradise after being punished for their sins
and that polytheists would not be forgiven if they died before repenting:
First: Tawheed rububiyya
It means that believing in Oneness of Allah the Exalted and Glorified in His acts, such as:
creating, providing sustenance, reviving, and causing death, afflicting disasters, giving benefits,
and other acts that are specific actions of Allah the Exalted and Glorified.
Second: Tawheed uluhiyya
It means that believing in the Oneness of Allah the Exalted and Glorified in types of worship in
shari’a, such as: prayer, fasting, zakat (obligational charity), hajj (performing pilgrimage to
Mecca), vowing, slaughtering, anxiety, fear, hoping, and other kinds of worship.
Third: Tawheed asma’ wa shifat
, believing the Oneness of Allah in the names and attributes of Allah the Exalted and Glorified,
according to what has been established by Allah for Himself, or the ones established by the
Messenger of Allah - and negating all weakness and disgraces that Allah has negated from
Himself, and every thing that has been negated by the Messenger of Allah -
