Ancient One

Ancient Ones are strange, misshapen
humanoid beings who bear squid-like
faces and features, fleshy bat-like wings,
and lumpy squishy tails.
They exist only partially in the material
dimension and are strange, unusual beings
with little known about them.

Byakhee

Byakhee are space-faring predators from
beyond the stars who can travel near to
the speed of light. They are often found
serving cults or elder gods.

BESTIARY
Colour Out of Space

Colours Out of Space are extraterrestrial cancerous
entities that burrow into the ground and inhabit
that location, infecting nearby plant life. This
infection takes the form of strange and violently
hued discolorations in the vegetation, as well as a
nocturnal glowing, before a grey morass sets in and
the life dies.

HP: 8 (The Colour generally cannot be attacked, as it lives in
the ground and soil, though certain rituals can drive it away.)
Corruption Test: Test with Advantage
Traits
• Mutation Inducing: Those who spend time
near the soil where the Colour has planted itself
must make a Corruption Test each month or
start to mutate, physically changing as the world
around them warps.
• Chaotic: The environment around a Colour Out
of Space always has the Chaotic Environmental
Trait, in addition to any other Traits it might have.

BESTIARY
Deep Ones

Deep Ones are slimy, grey-green, hairless aquatic
humanoids who dwell in the deep parts of the
ocean, worshiping inhuman gods. They have the
ability to mate with humans, producing Deep
One hybrids.
Most of the time, they are described as having
grey-ish green, glossy, and slippery skin with white
stomachs, as well a strange, horrible croaking voice.
They ambulate around like a malformed frog,
hopping to and fro.

Traits
• Amphibious: A Deep One can breathe
underwater with no difficulty. They have
advantage on all Tests to fight, swim, or
maneuver under water.
• Claws: A Deep One has sharp claws that it
can use as a Mastered Light Weapon attack.

Deep One Hybrid

Deep One Hybrids are the offspring of Deep Ones and
humans. At birth and through childhood, they carry
the full appearance of a normal human (statistically the
same as a normal character), but as they age, they begin
to take on the characteristics of their Deep One parent.
Once the hybrid can no longer hide themselves among
humanity, they move into seclusion in watery areas
(using the stats of a Deep One).
(Roll once for every 5 years of life after age 20—reroll
any result you already have)

Elder Thing

Elder Things are an ancient alien species (said
to be the first to come to Earth), long before
the evolution of humanity. They are strange,
fearsome creatures with an unusual culture,
one beyond the understanding of humanity.

Traits:
• Inhuman Biology: Elder Things do not
need to breathe and are immune to the
deepest depths of the ocean as well as the
vacuum of space.
• Inhuman Technology: Elder Things have
any innovation they want, and their usage
ratings on their innovations are tripled
when created.
• Resolute: Advantage on all Save Tests.

Flying Polyp

Flying polyps arrived from distant galaxies and
warred with the Great Race of Yith in the prehistory
of the world. The Great Race of Yith trapped them,
burying them deep within the earth.
They exist slightly out of phase with our reality,
partially in our time-stream and partially out of it.

Corruption Test: Standard Test
Traits:
• Flight: Flying Polyps can fly, moving in three
dimensions.
• Gust of Winds: Flying Polyps can manipulate
airflow, using the air to make attacks. They
always count as having taken the Evade Action,
and always count as being Mastered with a Light
Ranged weapon as long as there is air.
• Out of Phase: A Flying Polyp always counts as
having Focus when making Evade tests.

BESTIARY
Ghoul

Foul, gaunt, and monstrous beasts, ghouls
are almost human-like, who arrive from the
Dreamlands to feast on human flesh.
Almost akin to zombies, but with far more
intelligence, the ghouls are terrifying foes to face.

Corruption Test: Standard Test
Traits
• Cannibal: For two Actions, a ghoul can
feast on human flesh. This restores 1 HP to
the ghoul.
• Diehard: When an attack would reduce
the ghoul to 0 Hit Points, it instead reduces
the ghoul to 2 Hit Points. The ghoul can do
this once per day.

Great Race of Yith

The Great Race of Yith is a species who has come
to Earth, using their ability to project their minds
across time and space, taking over the bodies of
those they consider lesser. The form Investigators
are most likely to encounter them in is not their true
form, but an insectoid form they have imposed their
minds and consciousness on.
The Great Race of Yith has existed for time immemorial
and are beyond the ken of mortal minds.

Corruption Test: Test with Advantage
Traits
• Inhuman Technology: The Great Race of Yith
have any innovation they want, and their usage
ratings on their innovations are tripled when created.
• Projecting Mind: The Great Race of Yith can
project their mind into a new body. The target
must make a Save Test with Advantage or the
Yithian can forever control their body with
the original mind being placed in the body the
Yithian abandoned.

BESTIARY
Hounds of Tindalos

The Hounds of Tindalos are extradimensional
beings who exist at junctures that collide with ours,
angles in reality (whereas we inhabit curves).
Hideously predatory things, Hounds of Tindalos can
appear throughout space and time to feast on their foes.
Their lashing tongues can slash and strike their prey,
and they always appear as though wreathed in smoke.
Their ability to inhabit angles means they are nearly
impossible to track and can easily ambush most prey.

Corruption Test: Test with Disadvantage
Traits:
• Smoke-Wreathed: The Hounds always are
wreathed in smoke, and as such always count as
having taken the Evade Action.
• Survivalist: The Hounds gain Advantage when
Testing to forage for food, find water, seek
shelter, or create shelter in the wild.

Hunting Horror

Horrible flying beasts of the Dreamlands, the
Hunting Horrors serve Nyarlathotep, using
their sharp claws and mighty wings to descend
from the sky, as their bizarre, snake like heads
snap at their prey.

Traits:
• Flight: Hunting Horrors can fly, moving in
three dimensions.
• Sunlight-Weakness: Hunting Horrors die
if exposed to sunlight, and as such, are only
summoned or called upon during the night.

Inhabitant of
the Nameless City

Beings who once had a massive, mighty
city, these reptilian creatures are thought
to be extinct, though the truth is that some
of their kind have fled deep underground,
hiding from the world. They are ancient
and cultured, though they seem not to
speak with any vocal tongue.

Mi-Go
Mi-Go

HP: 6
Corruption Test: Test with Disadvantage if seeing
the Mi-Go’s true form. A disguised Mi-Go forces a
Test with Advantage.
Traits:
• Fleshwearing: A Mi-Go can wear the flesh of its
victims, appearing sickly and worn, but able to
pass for human. This provides a Mi-Go advantage
on any tests made to convince others they are the
individuals whose flesh they are wearing.
• Aether Travel: Mi-Go can travel through the
deep of space with no penalties due to their
strange grasp of physics, often seeming to
“teleport” between locations.
• Blurry Image: A Mi-Go’s image can not be
captured by videographic or photographic devices,
though audio can still capture their words.
• Brain Cylinder: A Mi-Go can transport a willing
human with them by extracting their brain into
a special cylinder. When this process is initiated,
the human must make a Corruption Test with
Disadvantage. It’s unknown if the process is reversible.

Moonbeast

In the Dreamlands, the mirror to our Moon is
inhabited by strange Moonbeasts, pale, toad-
like monsters, who bear supernal strength and a
face full of tentacles. Their hunched, pale bodies
are eerily silent, though at times the haunting
sounds of flutes echo from their homes…

Traits
• Diehard: When an attack would reduce
the moonbeast to 0 Hit Points, it instead
reduces the moonbeast to 2 Hit Points. The
moonbeast can do this once per day.
• Resolute: Advantage on all Save Tests.
• Strong: Advantage when Testing to do
something with brute force.

Rat Thing

Vile, scurrying beasts, these giant rats
are often found in the damp and dark
sewers that cults and cultists favor,
drawn by the sacrificial offerings
floating in the shadows.
They have a feral intelligence, akin to
a smart dog, and are vicious beasts.

Shoggoths

Shoggoths are sentient blobs of jelly-like flesh, roughly
a half-ton in weight. Due their viscous plasma-esque
nature, shoggoths are capable to shaping themselves into
whatever they find needful, including forming new organs
(such as eyes), tentacles, mouths, claws, etc. Shoggoths are
shockingly fast and deadly, killing their foes or targets by
enveloping them.

Corruption Test: Test with Disadvantage
Traits:
• Amorphous Form: Shoggoths can grow any tooth,
claw, or pseudopod needed to strike a foe. They
count as Proficient in all these weapons, which are
considered Heavy Melee weapons.
• Fleet of Foot: Advantage on Tests when chasing or
being chased, and Tests of foot speed or running.
• Overwhelm: A Shoggoth can attempt to overwhelm
a target. After a successful melee attack, the Shoggoth
can force its target to make a Save Test. If the target
fails, the Shoggoth envelope the target. The target
takes 2 damage each turn it’s enveloped, and can only
break free by making a strength Test to get out.

BESTIARY
Spiders of Leng

Spiders of Leng are intelligent purple spiders, ranging from
the size of a large pony to massive creatures that tower
over the largest earth animals. They can spin webs like
earthly spiders, and they have a venomous bite that can
incapacitate nearly any foe. Spiders of Leng inhabit the
Dreamlands, especially in the southern mountains of the
Plateau of Leng.

Corruption Test: Standard Test
Traits:
• Acrobat: Advantage when Testing to do acrobatic
tricks such as tumbling, long-distance jumps, and
climbing.
• Fleet of Foot: Advantage on Tests when chasing or
being chased, and Tests of foot speed or running.
• Venom Bite: The Spider of Leng bites as a Mastered
Light Melee attack. If this attack hits, the target must
make a Save Test or suffer 2 additional damage from
the venom.
• Web: The Spider of Leng shoots its web as a proficient
ranged attack. If this attack hits, it deals no damage, but
the target must make a Save Test or lose one action on
their next turn.

Zombie

Raised from the dead by cultists and
necromancers, Zombies are corpses
brought back to life by foul magics or
sciences.

• Diehard: When an attack would
reduce the zombie to 0 Hit Points, it
instead reduces the zombie to 2 Hit
Point. The zombie can do this once
per day.
• Slow: Zombies only get one action
a turn.
