DIRECTOR MESSAGE
Greetings from Faculty of Law, GLS University
GLS University’s vision is to foster excellence in the field of
education. Taking this vision forward, Gujarat Law Society,
the sponsoring body of GLS University, since its inception in
1927, has distinguished itself by its excellent academic
programme's delivery, faculty acquaintance, Corporate
Partners, Global Strategic Alliances, Visionary Leaders.
Gujarat Law Society, since last 95 years, has had an
unmatched legacy in imparting legal education and Faculty
of Law (FOL) under the aegis of GLS University, in a short span
has catered to this immensely growing need of quality legal
education.
Faculty of Law offers five years integrated law programmes in
Dr Mayuri Pandya B.A.LL.B. and B.B.A..LL.B. (Hons.) at undergraduate level and
Director at masters level One Year LL.M. in the areas of Criminal and
GLS Law College Security Law and Corporate and Commercial Laws.
Here at FOL, we provide a rich set of curricular and co-
curricular opportunities for the students to explore and act
upon, thereby developing various skills, values and virtues of
Legal Education that would aid them to shine in their
profession of law. Discipline, Values and Integrity are the very
foundation of our institution. We aim to not just impart
knowledge to the students, but also to inculcate in them -
wisdom, compassion and a humanitarian spirit.
We are committed to nurturing our students into qualified
lawyers and judges, bureaucrats, academicians, intellectuals,
leaders and socially responsible citizens so that we contribute
and endeavour to the advancement of professional
expectations of legal education. There is a visible drift from
‘lawyer centric, provincial, labour-intensive guild to a
customer- focused, global, digitized industry’. There is
transition which can be seen in legal profession which
requires mustering new skill sets by the students like the
emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change,
Cyber laws, Anti-trust, Energy Laws etc. Legal Education
cannot stand static and alone, thus students needs to equip
themselves with the tools to infuse their young brains with
the ability to analyse and evolve solutions to the
contemporary problems. And the Faculty of Law does just
that. Enhancing and fostering young minds to question,
think and react towards betterment and development of the
laws governing the nation and globe as a whole.
Our Graduated Batches are already making the institution
proud by achieving excellence in law and all interlinked fields
and thus we invite all prospective students – these young
powerful minds to come join our journey of making FOL
achieve newer heights of success.
