King
Kong
directed
by
Merian
C.
Cooper
and
Ernest
B.Schoedsack
1933
tells
the
story
of
a
gigantic
gorilla
called
Kong
who
dies
in
the
pursuit
of
a
beautiful
young
girl.
A
Group
of
filmmakers
led
by
Carl
Denham
(Robert
Armstrong)
sail
away
by
a
ship
to
mysterious
island.
When
they
reach
the
island

Darrow

Wray)

by
the
natives

be
sacrificed
to
King

Jack

This
film
provides
all
the
ingredients
needed
to
make
it
one
to
remember.
From
mystery,
violence
to
action
and
adventure
King
Kong
has
everything.
Its
a
monster
movie,
of
brutal
and
vengeance
but
the
audience
are
taken
in
by
the
basic
human
emotions
thats
shown
by
Kong,
which
pulls
you
in
rather
then
recoiling
from
him.
Unlike
the
extraterrestrial
spiders
in
the
alien
pictures
which
embody
single-minded
aggression,
Kong
cares
for
his
captive
human
female,
protects
her,
attacks
only
when
provoked.
(Ebert,
2002).
With
how
robotic
the
movement
of
Kong
is
you
are
still
able
to
understand
his
emotion
with
gestures
and
motions.
This
is
skillfully
constructed.

King
Kong
is
a
brilliantly
structured
adventure
movie
(Newman,
2005).
Like
many
of
the
other
Black
and
white
classicals
this
is
regarded
as
a
masterpiece.
The
visual
aspects
of
the
film
are
amazing
considering
what
era
it
was
made.
It
has
become
the
inspiration
base
of
many
modern
films
released.
From
Jurassic
Park
to
Alien
just
to
name
a
few
King
Kong
Is
regarded
as
the
father
of
these
films.
This
film
elevated
the
film
industry
1933,
it
set
a
new
mile
for
makers
in
that
period.
Touted
by
some
as
the
Eighth
Wonder
of
the
World,
the
1933
King
Kong
is
considered
by
some
criticsincluding
meto
be
the
greatest
adventure- fantasy-horror
movie
ever
made.
(Emanuel,
2011).
You
have
to
appreciate
the
special
effects
used
in
this
film
considering
the
period
it
was
made.
Some
of
the
movements
by
Kong
can
some
how
seem
comical
but
the
journey
he
goes
through,
the
emotions
he
shows
as
well
as
being
the
monster
he
is
you
grow
to
love
him
and
forget
about
the
special
effects
used
in
this
film.
